Thanks for sharing. They are obviously going to go for a pretty hefty price considering they are both being sold by greattoning. His photos really bring out the beauty in the coins he sells.

What kind of toning is that? It looks almost identical to a seated quarter I have (see sig below). Although my picture doesn't do justice, the color scheme is the same.

To answer your question, the 1950 came from an original proof set bought at last October's Long Beach Show for "stiff" money...Coin toned inside a 5 coin hard plastic Capitol holder as did the quarter and dime in the same set. Half went NGC 66, I have the Quarter and Dime in my sets, both are PCGS 67..... The 1958 wild toned in one of the old black cardboard holders (similar to the utterly amazing 1942 proof set from the Goldberg Sale last year) with the plastic sliding windows. The only way you can get this green is from this type of black cardboard holder, a 57/58 mint set, or some exotic holder..... The 1957 NGC PR68* CAMEO coin Lucy posted last week also toned in a hard Capitol plastic holder as did the 1950...Nature does amazing things.....The 1957 will soon be on greattoning's website.....The best coin in the set is not being sold...The 1952 is greeeeennnn and amazing. Likely to see that on Mr. D's site in the future.
