My feedback lesson was learned long ago. Dont leave feedback as a seller until the buyer does so first. I dont care if I ever leave or get another feedback! I sell a bunch of stuff and I'm ok with feedback of 187. Who needs more than that? The goal is to have a place to transact business. Ebay works quite well without 3985 feedbacks. It really tees me off to get an unwarranted negative. So avoid feedbacks altogether once you get a hundred or more! Look at the energy and time that 2 negs has cost you! It wont affect your sales at all but at this point he is winning the game!
Interesting that you don't think that may affect his sales. 3 buyers calling his "original" bag toned Morgans a fraud and saying he is a coin doctor & con artist would make me avoid his auctions if I were the casual eBay surfer and didn't read this message board to hear his side of the story. There are a million other sellers on eBay with cheap low grade certified Morgans to choose from that have perfect feedback. But I may be the only one that actually reads auction descriptions and checks the sellers feedback befor bidding and thinks that way.

It was two buyers, not three. And if you checked the sellers feedback thoroughly enough, you would find these two bidders have feedback of (2) and (8). Dog, your position is really strange. These two are such obvious BS negatives, and you are trying to tell me as a buyer you would believe them?
K6AZ if I didn't know you and enjoyed the deals we did together on the board & eBay, yes those kind of feedbacks would make me avoid a seller. If I weren't familiar with you & read your thread here I would have no way of knowing if they were true or not and it would be easier & safer to find a seller with no mention of coin doctoring or con artist in his history. I don't think my position is strange considering the gigantic amount of fraud & misrepresentation we see on eBay & in the coin market. Don't go thinking this is a thinly disguised assault on your reputation because it's not. Your rep's great in my book! I just have a difference of opinion from those who take feedback lightly and that don't think it's a cause for concern.

That would discourage newbies. Ebay wants growth. Growth generates more fees. BTW, read another quote recently from Ebay's spokesman, Keven Pursglove, on the miniscule level of fraud. He must have taken lessons from the Iraqi Information Minister
I don't know what to tell you then, except you are probably missing out on some good sellers who also have been slammed with BS negatives. These are so easy to see as BS it isn't funny. Would you really believe a bidder with a feedback of (2) when he says he cracked out NGC coins to send to NGC?
You hit the nail on the head. There are bargains on eBay from Sellers with a touch of the neg. Look not just at the Negative but try to read the reasoning behind it and look at the timeline of the neg.
It's a bit of effort and many will pass over an auction by not doing so.
Even if I didnt read your comments here I would know the negs you've received belong in the bogus catagory.
I think most people look at them and try to decide if they are legitimate or ridiculous. Actually, apparently most of the bidders on my auctions now discount them. I have some really good prices on my current items.
If everyone approached feedback as Dog does, I guess someone could ruin a seller by creating five throwaway accounts.
K6AZ- When I'm running through pages of search hits I'm thumbing the "BACK" botton on the side of my mouse so fast all I see is a blur of auctions running across my screen. If it's something really interesting in I may take the time to check both the buyer's & seller's feedback and cross check all the "he said she said" details of a neg but I usually avoid sellers with recent bad eBay transactions because I don't take chances on being the next bad transaction. Yeah you're right I probably miss out on some good deals from some good sellers. But I'm funny about sending my hard earned $$$ to people I don't even know. And to answer your direct question you asked me; I think that a person who buys a $30 NGC slabbed coin, claims to have cracked it out trying to make it a $40 coin and got a NG instead & then negs the eBay seller who sold it in the first place is simply unbelievable. All I'm saying is that until they're removed or fall to the bottom the big red "Complaint" is a bad thing for a low feedback seller to have, IMO.

As I said before, I don't know what to tell you then. I have bid on coins that were being sold be sellers who got BS negatives, and the BS was easy to see. I have never been burnt. Not only that, neither one of these idiots contacted me. So sellers now are on the hook because a buyer wants to crack a coin out and try to "upgrade" it?
In any event, I can guarantee you I will never leave feedback first again. This is a prime example of what happens when you do. If either one of these idiots were unhappy with the coin, I would have taken it back with no questions, and for coins this cheap, it would have been for the full bid amount. Neither one bothered to even try, they already had their positive and just slammed me with the negs. But then again, these two were no accident, and the object here is to discredit me by claiming I doctor coins.
