Charlie Kahler rocks!

RussRuss Posts: 48,514 ✭✭✭
I sent a submission off Express Mail yesterday, so I went to check the tracking this afternoon and it says they "attempted" delivery this morning and left a notice. Of course, this doesn't make sense since PCGS uses a PO Box.

I call Charlie, even though it's really not a PCGS issue, but I'm a little worried that the doophus post office screwed up and the package is going to end up back here. He gets the tracking number, and is on it like stink on a politician! Calls me back a few minutes later to let me know the package is in house, no problem. image

Thanks Charlie! image

I guess I should have said "PCGS SUCKS!" in the title. We'd have 50 responses. Share some good experiences for a change.

Good news, Russ, it's nice to know someone is on the ball there. You can pop a cold one now and relax.image

Clankeye: (running breathlessly into the room) Did someone say PCGS Sucks!!!!! You're kidding!!!!!!!! Said it right here? On their own forum? WOW!!! Wonders never cease.

Smokey the Bear: Calm down, Clankeye. It was just a false alarm.

Clankeye: Thanks Mr. Smoke. Whew. Had me worried.

Smokey the Bear: Don't mention it.

    maddogale,

Do you have the same handle on eBay as here? Have you noticed that there's one guy with the handle of pschossow that's been bidding up pretty much every sealed 1964 proof set in sight? I haven't been able to score any since he arrived on the scene.

FYI, for whatever reason that Express Mail tracking always says "attempted" delivery with a PO box, and that scary message about returning it to you, until the recipient has signed for it. Even after they've signed for it can take a while to show up as delivered.

Russ, I have to agree with you. The people at PCGS do rock! I may not always agree with the graders or the turn-around time. But the people there in the backround are the best!!!image

SUPERCOIN is correct since most packages arrive when the recipient is not standing at the box waiting for their mail so it is pretty much a default message meaning the package has arrived at its destination and a notice has been placed in the recipients box letting them know that they have a package. In PCGS's case they probably have stacks of notices in their box when the person goes to pick up the mail first thing in the morning.
