Which U.S. Coin Forum members are rarely posting today?
I've noticed a few that seem to have dropped out. I hope they return soon.

TomB seems to also slowed down and where's Wondercoin? Registery coin and Supercoin are also no-shows lately (other than the ocassional post midnight comment that gets lost in the noise).
Even Bryan of TBT's seems to me on less and where has CoinGuy1 been the last few days?
There are plenty of others. I chalk it up to the war and the latest board follies.
It will (eventually) drive out the good.
I haven't seen Greg lately...

Wondercoin started some thread today, and he's been all over the registry forum having a lively debate with... Coinguy1. So coinguy is around too. I think he's at a show. He'll be back.
TomB spends more time on the NGC board these days. I kind of understand that. He was posting his usual intelligent stuff over here, and having to fend off the trolls.
A few people are still stinging over the banning business. But, they seem to be drifting back.
They come they go. They go they come. The river of life. Man, I'm profound.

Dog97?
Spooly?
Shiroh?
Greg? hehe
And, like you, I've been reading TomB's stuff over on the NGC forums. (Our loss here as his knowledge and writing style are second to none).
And yes, I can confirm- you are profound.
Carl>>
Clankeye.......you're not only profound, you're deep too!

Braddick: You hit the ones I was thinking of when I posted.

Good Luck Russ. Carol "fixed" it.

If it is muddled at one end of the pond, someone has to make sure that nobody can have "unmuddled" water.
We had a very good thing going. Now it's just a good thing. I hope it get's better...
PS. What's the fun of a "Used Tupperware" party where all sit around discussing that old style container that doesn't even "burp" anymore, and has a light red "tomato sauce" tint, and a "garlicized" smell to it???
The last post was for you about the great lookng kid. I don't want people to get the wrong idea like M. Jackson!!!!

Next weekend we break out the Remote control helicopters and teach the little one how to fly em upside down.

<< <i>I appreciate that Carl, but as you probably know, some can't ever leave the pond water clear...

And some have turned it into their own personal toilet. You can tell who they are though- they're the ones, just like you see in public pools- that have that smirk/wink on their face.

Yours is one of a dozen or so opinions on these forums I value the most.
But seriously now, you and I, Pat, are at a point, as are hundreds of others who post, that are beyond the "feeling out" and "politeness" stage. Geez, even with the serious barbs, which are obvious, and probably genuine, all of us know each other well enough to say what we feel, without guilt. In any case... I hope we haven't lost our sense of humor and our ablity to post ROTFLMAO-quality sarcastic comments...
I think that I am still maint6aining my fration of a post per day!

<< <i>That thought zipped thought my mind too, Pat, and was quickly dismissed, because I know you... Thanks for the post, and "thanks" to whomever PMd you with that thoughtfulness.

Posts and Threads on this Forum are still somewhat guarded. Disagreements do not need to equal impolite behavior.
I've seen those with genuine want to learn and teach slowly fade from these boards due to irrational thought and word. An example is MBCOIN. Mike used to post here a lot and he KNOWS his toned coins. He is a wealth of knowledge and that is lost now because he was pretty much flammed off the forums. It wasn't a question, on his end, of being weak minded and intolerant- it was a question of "why bother?".
Rich Tomaska is also a wonderful source for CAM and DCAM coinage but he too has checked out, mostly, not due to heated discussion, but the ocassional barage of anti-this and hate-that. His messages were lost in the noise.
Even a few days ago TDN made a terrific post that would/should have settled a gentle argument, but instead was pushed down the thread by a dozen postings after it that had little to contribute other than one attempting to 'outfunny' the other.
I know, as has been repeated here, it's only an internet bulletin board. It's the nature of such and to complain and whine about it solves nothing. That Member is correct. I guess that is all this is.
Sadly and pathetically though, it's also the reason Members leave. We are, in the long run, worse off because of it.
1. Whenever I discuss patterns or other classics, few people give a hoot anyway and the threads die quickly.
2. There have been far less "hate crimes" against moderns these days. Not much to debate about there. I remember a few years ago on the boards when silver quarters and Roosies were moderns and worth only the price of a Coke from the machine to the "modern bashers". No more- Onlyroosies is offering his first born for an MS68FB Roosie and there are no takers
3. Frankly, I really don't have a great deal of good or bad things to say about CU these days. Why post meaningless threads as filler.
I do miss RC's wit though. I thought when you were inducted into the Hall of Fame as RC was, one had social responsibilities to the Community for a year or two, sort of like MISS AMERICA travelling the world promoting good will? RC - I wish you would kick some AS- and clean this place up. You are one of the few DIPLOMATS who could you know
Your "point 1" hit the nail on the head.
No need for filler. That's not your style. No cull threads required!
I did enjoy our phone conversation regarding patterns and your contributions here on them.
I guess enthusiasm for these type of topics is waining (as topics such as "should Registry coins be offered on the Registry Forum?" will continue to generate 100+ postings).
-I'm sure it'll all bounce back. Right?
Now, enough of my sadsack posts on this Thread... on with the coins!
<< <i>Braddick you left coindoctor or drcoin off you list too.

Once i finish that [and doing my taxes before april 15] i'll hang around more.
Starting over again as i approach 47 years of age should prove to be an interesting challange in times like these, but even though the number of coins in my collection has shrunk by 50% i still enjoy it here and love to here everyones coin stories.
I still have yet to see any real mint state Barber jaw dropper quarter or half pics here thoiugh. Although i've seen some really pretty proofs.
For the next few weeks, while i'm more or less finishing what i would call [picking up the pieces, i probably won't have the time to post much] but i'll still be around. Les
Let me say Good bye to all now before i get banned for this post. Good bye and if i do not get banned then i will just lurk. It only took 6 months.
"The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the LORD GOD Almighty."
it has been a little thick around here of late
thanks for the love
Dr. E was relatively successful, so I haven't been posting here much anymore. I don't need the grief, and when I do post, it is under another screen name. Also, I think the board has shown its true colors lately, as evidenced by Homerun's incredibly adept handling of several interesting developments. I suspect after he runs PCGS into the ground, there will be a long and rewarding career awaiting him as the new Minister of Information in Iraq.
Hope you're all doing well, and that you still buy toners off ebay! There will be some real MONSTERS coming up in a few weeks.
