Also love the 1976 Commemorative medals @Twobitcollector !

These were struck at the Carson City Mint on Coin Press 1 using an original William Barber die from the 1876 Nevada Centennial!

I really want this one. I spent summers as a kid in Dayton. I had Aunt's, Uncle's & cousins living there. We ran all over those hills chasing lizards, finding obsidian (apache tears) dodging rattlesnakes and exploring abandoned mines...
Fun fact. Clint Eastwood starred in the movie "Honkeytonk man" and my cousins got to be little kid extras in some of the boardwalk scenes. I missed being there for that by a week and was super dissapointed as a kid.

Here's a nice US Mint struck So-Called Dollar, issued just too late for the HK cut off.

Cataloged as: Swoger-37 and US Mint D1964-1b (regular strike) and D1965-1a (proof).

    .
I have multiples of the silver, copper, and bronze versions of the 1976 Nevada American Revolution Bicentennial Commission medals, but continue to search for one of the elusive gold. I have seen a complete collection of these medals (all four metal compositions) in a what appears to be a custom capitol holder, residing in the display case in the front of Northern Nevada Coins. And, now, thanks to your post, I can see one of the gold medals depicted in PCGS true views. I did not know that PCGS attributes/grades these - all of mine are in ANACS holders.

It is unfortunate that official mintage figures are not accessible for these medals. IIRC, I've heard/read 100 of the gold? 3000 of the silver? (The highest serial number of the silver variety that I have is S-2361) Have you seen any mintage figures published or suggested?

I've missed out on at least two on eBay, a full set of four in the last few years and a singleton gold a while earlier.

I thought I'd add some Nevada Boxing exonumia from the 1897 Corbett-Fitzsimmons fight in Carson City NV on March 17, 1897...

    Badge (courtesy Fred Holabird)

HK-276 (Brass), similar finish/size to the Truckee Ice Carnival HK-729 pieces, so L.H. Moise product?

HK-276 Ni-Silver (courtesy Bill Gribble, obtained from train engineer driving Southern Pacific Railroad Line from Oakland CA to Nevada); one other is known from a prior Paul Koppenhauver sale on June 6, 1987); slightly larger 33.78 mm planchet compared to HK-276

HK-277 (Brass), similar finish/size to the Truckee Ice Carnival HK-729 pieces, so L.H. Moise product?

HK-729 Truckee Ice Carnival (Truckee CA near Lake Tahoe and Nevada)

Note that L.H. Moise resided and opened his first business in Oakland CA near the train station. Bill Hyder has written many interesting articles on L.H. Moise in the TAMS journal...
