I can't remember this being released so early, but here is 2027:

The Birth set might be huge if it includes a Lincoln cent.
The Pegasus gold coin is coming out in Summer.
The diamond field silver coins are returning.
I expect major additions are depending on legislation to be included in the Omnibus Bill at the end of this year.

Birth set? Could that just be a more specific release of the Congratulations set? It is P mint as opposed to the proof and congrats.
The mint used to have a Happy Birthday along with a Congratulations, but ditched the birthday a few years ago. I'm glad it's coming back. We'll see what they have up their sleeves.
.
The Birth Set may be the only P Lincoln Cent Proof and the sets will likely be low mintage. The other four Proofs would also be equally low mintage. Unfortunately no subscriptions yet.
If this is true then the sets that cost about $50 may be worth $500.
"The diamond field silver coins are returning" and they will carry the D mint mark vice this year's P..

Between those and the 2 coin reverse proof set, it looks like they cut the regular proof Morgan and Peace dollars.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
Why do you think it's going to be anything other than what they say it's going to be? An ASE, in birthday packaging.
The attraction is going to be that it will be a Philly proof instead of West Point for the regular version and the Congratulations Set. Not that it's going to be an alternate proof set. It will be as hot, or not, as the 2026 Congratulations Set was.
I thought the Lincoln Cents were officially kaput. Doubtful they will make another appearance in a birth set.
They really are scaling back on San Francisco production? Also no more traditional mirror proof Morgans?
This is the old Birth set, so maybe it is mislabeled. They also have a congratulations set listed.
They continue to be in proof and mint sets.

Fair enough. But, if you look at the schedule, the Birth Set is categorized as "American Eagle Coins."
The odds are very high that it's going to be a Philly proof ASE. Not a Philly proof set.
Unless they change something, this is a virtual lock. If you'll notice, the Congratulations Set is listed as being minted at West Point. So the Birth Set is going to be the one we are chasing next year. Not to get a Philly proof cent, but to get a Philly proof ASE.
You have a lot of faith in the mint employees, we know they always do what is posted early. Except a 100 times before.
Not really. But it's foolish to ignore what is in front of you, absent a compelling reason.
Among other things, that 2019 set you referenced was made in San Francisco. So they would only have to change everything, and make an entire proof set in Philly when they haven't done that since 1964, to make your dream come true.
OTOH, all they have to do to make my prediction true is make the same coin they made in Philly in 2026, with birthday packaging. It's unclear why they are doing this rather than just keeping everything the same as this year, but it's what they say they are doing.
Of course, anything can always happen. But if this was a prediction market, do you really think this would be a 50/50 coin flip? If so, I'd love, love, love to take your action on this.

But if it were just a Philly proof ASE, would it really be listed as a "set" ?
Likely. See congratulations set.
Yes. What has the Congratulations Set ever been?
It sounds like the lazy way, and we may very well end up with just a silver eagle in this set if that category is correct. Expecting the mint to do a special set for the birth year may be a bridge too far at this point.
Prices on the 2026 Congratulations set have not rebounded yet, so expecting this set to be a hit if they redo 2026 makes little sense. The only possibility is if they drop the mintage to 45k or less, maybe even 50k. The old birth sets were 30k.
I'm not seeing much on this schedule, they need new products that are supposedly going to be placed in the Omnibus bill. If they want to hold revenues at 2026 levels they better limber up and get to work.
