Here is the ordering information for the Starlust catalog taken from the E-Sylum. There is further information about a "Deluxe Edition" in the 2-8-26 issue as well.

The catalog itself is a mostly positive mixed bag. The first half of the work is basically a reiteration of Eglit but with images of the large majority of the listings plus the addition of new metal, size and other varieties. The numbering system stays essentially the same with ST-eg-# numbers for the Eglit listed items and STND (Starlust New Discovery?) for added items.

Retaining the Eglit numbers lessens the workload but doesn't solve one of the basic failings of Eglit - the scattered listings of similar type items made an index mandatory for trying to find an individual listing. The problem is that the Eglit index was incomplete and frustratingly difficult to use. The Starlust catalog avoids all that by not having an index as well as no Introduction nor Table of Contents! To find an item without a catalog # you have to search page by page until you (hopefully) come across an image of the piece. It's a significant improvement over Eglit but still lacks ease of access. The images which are all ai'd to portray new or uncirculated items make for a pretty catalog but are a matter of individual taste.

The back half of the catalog adds hundreds of numbered listings in many categories but is more of a survey of what is out there rather than an attempt at completeness. STND numbering takes up in order where Eglit ends creating many of the same categorization problems as in the original work. Once again you have to search image by image, word listing by word listing in hopes that your item is included in this overview.

There is no pricing or rarity system in use in this catalog.

In conclusion, the Starlust work helps greatly in the basic identification of items but ignores some of the continuing problems. A totally new catalog with logical numbering, sorting, cross-referencing and a rarity scale might have been an approach worth considering.
