Has anyone used Klarna to pay for eBay items?

I'm curious to hear about anyone's experiences with Klarna.

Isn't it basically just a payment system that has optional payment options (like PayPal) it you want them?

All comments reflect the opinion of the author, even when irrefutably accurate.

I agree. I've always done the same. I'm just curious if it's a viable option if ever needed.

Edited to add that if I need some time I'd use my credit card and at least earn the points.

I've used it. When you go through the checkout process there are different payment plans. The only one I've used was the zero interest 4-payment plan. It spreads it out with 4 equal payments 2 weeks apart. It worked fine and I didn't pay any interest or fees.
There are of course, other options for longer plans and they include interest. So I've never gone that route.

Unless it is a once in a lifetime chance or close to it, I usually am against taking on debt for a luxury item.

I'd like to use it as they offer a discount when I check out for doing so but they also require a lot of personal info I don't feel comfortable sharing so I passed.

I heard some weird stuff about Klarna last year that would make me stay far away from it even if I was the type to pay for an item that way. It must have been security-related or something else that has become a non-issue, because it seems legit enough, just not a prudent way to enable a larger eBay shopping habit.

Have used it several times with no hiccups.
