2026: Has the year been a good one so far for you as a collector?

Switched form collecting Latin American coins to US SLH's this year. My goal for 2026 was to add as many early SF mint dates as I could afford. Next year will add the 1855-S, 1858-S, 1873-S & 1874-S if I find ones I like. Those 4 dates will be my main focus for 2027.
Happy with these early San Francisco additions:

Those are nice Seated halves!
2026 has been a decent year for me. Bountiful, but not as good as 2025. I joined the boards (probably one my better/best choices as of late), expanded my Morgan set, expanded my "Type" box(es) (not a type set, just non-set coins) got some "dream" coins, (those being a GSA Morgan (NOW AT PCGS) and a proof Mercury), and submitted two (technically 5?) PCGS submission, receiving the first one (3?) back in March. I go to a coin show on Sunday with my biggest budget so this could be a year-definer. (For that, I'm stuck between deciding between a proof Walker or a gold dollar.)

Yes.
Most years I would be ecstatic to find one or two of the coins on my want list. So far this year I've bought 5.
So exceptional year for completing some very hard to find items for my sets, and a very bad year for my budget.
Latest find:

It's been a good year!
I completed a Washington quarter set primarily in XF-MS range I'm happy about - some of the 30s dates were much harder than the 32s/d!
I've also made a strong stab at my Morgan set, getting down from the final 20 to about final 9 or so.
Fun times!
Terrible.
The Canadian coin retailer I get my Korean coins from hasn't had the inventory available for the 2026 coins.
And even if they do get them there will be massive import fee's paid by ME not the Canadians.
I get the impression KOMSCO might have cancelled the remaining Chiwoo and Zi:Sin coins.
Llamas and alpacas are camels. They aren't like camels, or related. They are camels. When was anyone going to tell me this?! How long had Bill Nye been holding out on us?
Bleah. I was laid off for about half the year so had to cut way back on spending. Didn't matter that much anyway, since I didn't find anything on my short list. I didn't like any of this year's 250 designs, not interested in privy-hunting, and the bullion pieces I might have wanted are so over-minted that I'll just wait for the secondary market next year.
Yes, Sir!
Bought a standing liberty quarter that I’ve been searching for a LONG time, in the grade I want, with a CAC sticker. Also, bought a much better date, choice Morgan in a rattler with a CAC sticker. And one more nice semi-key Morgan for bid.
Did that during the first half of the year. The second half has been rather quiet for me, but that is OK, as I’m keeping my powder dry.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Sorry but perhaps the worst year of my life; makes top 3 anyway. I spent 7 months in the hospital battling complications from pancreatic cancer surgery.
Coinwise, I won an 1840 Sm. letters Seated Half about a week before my major surgery. Did not get to see my actual coin until early March. I was home for two days and then got hauled off to the hospital in a helicopter.
Last week I won an 1859 Seated Quarter in the Heritage Seated Material auction held last Monday. That makes 2 coins so far this year. My hopes are to find 2 or 3 more coins that are on my coin lists. Happy hunting to one and all. James
Sorry that sounds awful!!!

Hope you start feeling better soon.
It's been a Great Year as far as my Medal inventory goes. Here's just one example for the year:
Sincere best wishes for you to feel better soon and for a full recovery! (And that was a sweet looking ‘59 seated quarter. Nice pick up)
Good year for buying and selling for me. Not a "banner year", so to speak, but good. Went to both the FUN in January and the ANA in August, along with the PNNA in May (and will attend the Fall version next weekend). Got to see a lot of people I already know and meet some people I hadn't met yet.
I just turned another year older and still have my health, so that's good. Still enjoying my semi-retirement and my other hobbies (fly fishing and kayaking being the majors).
Hoping for the best for @seatedlib3991 and also for @Alpha2814
Your post made me think of what was the best purchase this year.
Then it hit me pretty quickly.
Thanks @pcgscacgold I messed up on the Pittsburg thing, but I still appreciate you, and wish I hadn't bungled all the days and dates up like I did.
This was the best coin this year I think. The most memorable (for many, many reasons):
