Congrats to those that guessed 67+, you have a sharp eye. @MFeld was the first...It's official Mark, you can grade from photos
Those that graded 67 or 68 I'm giving you some solid credit for being within .5 point! Even a common coin like the 1941 still gets me excited when they look fantastic, and with dripping luster. Photo is by @FlyingAl and he did a really nice image on this one.

Stunning! I won't comment as I know the grade.

- Someone, probably
I guess I am ruined for there coins. In the eighties and nineties I worked with an old fellow in his late seventies who collected Walking Halves in the 1940's. He cashed his paycheck each week in half dollars and would search through them. He had a minimum requirement of having a distinct split between the thumb and forefinger of the left hand. He had over two hundred 20 coin short sets, it was absolutely overpowering to see. This coin would not have made it into his top twenty sets.
I know that modern grading standards care less about the strike and I have seen PCGS MS65's that would not have made into the worst of his sets. I do not know what happened to his collection when he passed but whenever I see a nice walker I remember the day he showed me set number 9 and wonder.
For those who are grading it MS66 or lower, would any of you care to share your reasoning? The coin has very clean surfaces (I see essentially no ticks), above average strike with full thumb, and the coin appears lustrous and has eye appeal.
MS68
67
I have trouble saying anything above 66
Remember my prior post,
Her neck could be better just not as smooth, I guess ,as I would need to go a higher grade
The reverse at the AME of America has something going on that may or may not be post strike marks, not sure
I tend to be a bit harsher than current standards more so the higher the grade gets
but then I believe nothing, know little, and think a lot, just what I think
Sometimes (ungraded) coins that we saw long ago were as nice or nicer than we think we remember. Other times, not.

yeah, I know, I try to make no claim on the grades but the strikes were as close to full as one is likely to find. And nearly 40 years has shaded the glasses of memory to a lovely shade of rose
In your opinion, what keeps this out of a 68 holder? Is it the luster? I know there is a strong preference by the services for brilliant blazing luster over satiny luster, but this coin looks dripping with luster.
It may be a common date, but it has the perfect trifecta of clean surfaces, luster, and sharp strike. That makes it not so common. Quality coins are always a treat.
I had considered guessing MS68.
I didn’t, only because of some very minor looking ticks I could see here and there, and the thought that there might be others that weren’t apparent in the images.

Sorry, I missed the game, traveling for last week or so. I would not have won anyway as this, from only a photo, would have been the first coin gtg on the forum that I would have guessed MS68. I cannot see, from photo, a reason it wouldn't have garnered that grade. A most beautiful representative of my most favorite silver coin, along with Mercury Dimes. Again congrats on owning this speciman.
