Chopmark on a 1838 Bust half
I know we have some experts here on chopmarked coins. I am looking for some opinions on this 1838 half. The seller I bought this from calls this a chopmark. I would appreciate any opinions on it.

Kind of looks like the Liberty Bell when you pull away! Honestly, if I saw that on that coin in-hand I would likely call it some type of damage, but not a chop mark, unless there was other info.

Add the reverse for greater conjecture.
That does not appear to be a Chinese character to me and I would be dubious buying it as a chopmarked coin.

I agree, the mark is too vague and formless on too scarce of a host to be considered authentic.
Thanks guys! I had my doubts from first sight. I appreciate the opinions!
