Miami over Notre Dame unless something drastic happens before they play.

Relax only team Iowa has played is Michigan and everyone has a great defense against Underwood. Smiths a stud but Iowa would hardly be considered one of the top D. Game was over in 45 seconds with the turnover. Iowas only chance and it was basically none was to score first or hold it scoreless for a long time. OSU is too much better than them to play from behind against them the whole game

Yet underwood was good enough to beat an SEC team. Iowa is known for their great defense. They are ranked 14th in the country. Last year they beat a top 15 sec team. So please stop with the Iowa bashing.

Smith had his way with Texas as well. He's the best player in the country.

I dropped ND because they haven't played anybody yet. They also struggled against 2 unranked teams, NC being the latest.
They have plenty of time to move up.

Miami @ Notre Dame, Nov. 7th.
    Who you got?

I dont even have ND in my top 10. They struggle against nobodies. play no one until the pl;ayoffs, get both Army and Navy and have done nothing

BYU is their first real game and they havent looked great. Then they get to beat Navy and lose to Miami to finish the month. Their only other real game which may or may not be a real game is SMU

The basebal gu likes to use his convoluted logic instead of even attempting to make an unbiased assessment of teams. Why waste time and bandwidth even discussing anything with him. I gave that up shortly after he arrived here.

As expected and predicted, most of the rankings stayed the same except for the shifting in the bottom five. These Voters are anything but consistent and the two moves they made which strike me as wrong both were SEC teams: They swapped Indiana and Alabama, they moved Missouri up 11 spots. Why punish Indiana because they didn't play, but neither did Teaxs who stayed at 1 and 'Ole Miss who stayed at 9. It's the type of inconsistency that usually makes fans crazy. As to Missouri, it makes more sense to move a team up slowly or else we'll have a repeat of Florida: up 8 one week and down 8 the next. They play Texas A&M next week who's running hot/cold so Missou could be out of the 25 real quick.

The AP Voters never have to justify their votes so it's good that they just carry to "The Committee" and then they're gone till next year.

I’ve posted some of the Computer Polls and they’re never received too well, but I think they give a more objective and balanced assessment of the teams. The trouble with people voting is that they bring too much bias. Once a computer poll has everything programmed in the only thing that matters is how a team actually performs.

The only points that really mean anything is what used to be 3-points for home field advantage. I don’t know what it is anymore because I probably haven’t bet on sports in close to 40 years.

Everything else is only dictated by what money is being bet on which team. I guess people think Georgia will win.

It sounds weird for a Bama QB to quietly be being very good but its happening.

Were going to have to see if the two GA WRs can get healthy or if its a lasting injury pr if theyre going to just have to rely on their 10 TEs for the passing game. Its usually a good game with these two every time and if the score gets out of hand they just start trying to hurt each other which can have big ramifications on the season. That part I dont like but the intensity I do like, just knock off the trying to hurt each other out of frustration stuff

3s still the standard but yea you got that right they will move it to direct money in the direction they want it too go to make sure they arent too exposed on payouts. I wouldnt say either GA or Bama really has a home field advantage when they play. Both fan bases will get as many tickets as they possibly can regardless of who the home team is

I think it’s still a little early to worry about any rankings. There’s more parity in college football and that is tough on the weathermen. Lindsey didn’t have a very good game but I’m liking the mini resurgence in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. Anytime Michigan or OSU loses we celebrate in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Hey @Bullsitter, look at this ESPN Power Index Poll for Week 5.

It’s perplexing to me how the various sources arrive at such different results. I’m already anxious for the Playoff so we can get to the off season and the wrangling for the next incarnation.

    Explanation is inevitable.

    I enjoy the Bama/Georgia and Bama/LSU games.

There are only 2 teams that I hate, Tenn and Awbern.
I dislike a bunch of others but I hate those two. They played each other last Saturday and I wanted them both to lose.

Tenn benching Brandon for trash after letting him get sacked like 10 times against Texas was a wild decision. Bishop and the D won that game. They have a rough stretch coming up and its going to be ugly if MacIntyre is going to play like that and be the starter. If theyre going to start a QB carousel they better be able to run for 300+ every game and get a bunch of turnovers. They could easily lose 6 of their last 7 doing that crap

GA Bama game has a significant chance of being moved from the Hurricane thats coming. Falcons stadium is unavailable on Saturday and Sunday unless they change the Bama GA game time or the MLS game time on Saturday. Not sure Dallas or Carolina are options with them being hosts to other power 4 conference championships. Nashville with the Titans stadium has been floated as a possible replacement but ,weather models arent looking good right now

Might have too. Even the Superdome is booked Saturday and Saints at home Sunda. Jags stadium will likely get hit as well so that wont help. Running out of replacement venues and even the Titans Stadium has like TSU vs UT Martin at like 230 pm on Saturday. Texans stadium has a big concert Saturday night.

This could quickly turn into a debacle if that thing doesnt hook right and miss Tuscaloosa

That happens with tornadoes and thunder storms both of which can occur with hurricanes. The Hurricane itself wont catch anyone off guard but can happen from hurricanes. Sounds like its moving quickly and expected to be out of the area by kickoff with the true victims being the no tailgating.

Kirby said they have plans in place to change the kickoff time if necessary but other than being a wet game they believe they can get it in at Bama which is what everyone wants otherwise Bama lose a big chunck of money having to share ticket sales and stuff with another venue

Well its now officially a Cat 1 and picking up strength

I'm going to laugh if they start playing and have to pull the players from the field

Alabama would be financially fine either way though

Doesn't seem to be a real heavy rain maker though - 1 to 2 inches

I think this is an omen for both teams in this years Playoff, a wash out. At least that’s what I’m going to believe.

If it was like Arkansas they probably would have just moved it. This one is a big one to move it especially when the line is flip a coin whose stadium is it at
