Wow. Tonight’s game was a classic. A thoroughly fun game to watch start to finish. I can’t help but say that the Pads got hosed, but rules are rules. When France made contact I immediately said “Uh oh”, did you? 😉
Clutch dudes doing clutch things for the Brew. Chourio is a treasure. And Front Row Amy is a pleasant distraction.
I don’t think there’s any way the Brewers were going to lose that game but that was also so gone. I’ve never seen that happen at Miller/American Family Field before. I’ve seen it at the Dome once. But this might be the first time at MKE. That was such a blast.
Chourio is one of those guys that seems to be making a name in MKE as a clutch hitter.
Murphy is going to win Manager of the Year in the NL this year and he deserves it for the 3rd year in a row. Misiorowski is going to win the NL CY and for the first time since 2018 I don’t feel like this team is the underdog here.
The Padres are annoyingly good. I would much rather be facing the Cubs. Putting 40 pitches on Miller (8th and 9th) and drawing blood is one of those boxes a team has to check. Maybe the other one is checking that roof aided out box thanks to regular season domination.

Horrible pitch location for Miller, and it wasn't a mistake. Anything up or in and he gets him. Also why they danced around Sanchez is beyond puzzling.
He was out quite a bit because he had been dealing with shin splints. When he was in the lineup he was still producing. I have you at a disadvantage though as I might have watched every Brewers game in Sept.

Apparently you dont
In September/October he hit 3 HRs .215/.388/.400 in the games he did play in. Other than the HRs being okay, thats not a good line at all

Yeah, but I do, because really until the 22nd he played in 16 games and:
.222 average, .444 OBP, .467 Slugging, .911 OPS.
10 for 45 with 3 HRs, 2 2Bs, 7 RBIs and 12 Runs.
18 Walks vs 19 Ks.
In his last 5 games he went 4 for whatever with 3 RBIs and 3 runs. Steady, not bad, but a healthy walk rate kept his OBP up and he was slugging over .900 for 16/23 games for the month. You think that's bad? This is the difference between watching every game and looking at bbref.
For the month vs. MLB
OPS: 68th
OBP: 33rd
Walks: 1st
His September OPS+ is 121. I don't know if you understand what that means or what "bad" means, but 100 is average. Nice try anyways but another flop. sad trombone.
Ashby’s first game was a start against the Cubs. He gave up 7 runs in the first I believe. I think the Brewers also were up 15-7 by the 4th but he was never the same after that as a starter. But he’s money out of the pen. Solid win.
ik this is a Brewers thread, but my heart warmed up like a microwave when i saw small-market Tampa flog the Yankees last night. 3 games of Foghorn Leghorn busting that dog's ass. loved every second of it.
and that's exactly why I'll be offering my partisan support to Milwaukee in the next wave. idk what it is, but i can't stand the big dogs in baseball. i want them to eat pop tarts, and not the ones you can buy in the grocery store.
Rays-Brewers wouldn't even register on the Richter scale, but i guarantee you i'd watch

A matchup of the 2 best teams? I'd watch for sure. Baseball junkies will agree that the World Series should be just like that.

Brewers Clinch! If your team hasn’t I don’t know what’s wrong.
Looks like all that went bad for them tonight is the kicker missed an extra point.
It’s almost time to take stock of another regular season.
@1948_Swell_Robinson
@Basebal21
Fade?
Bauers?
Sucks to be wrong but hen you want to be right. Sorry fellas.
When I retire it’s my dream to get a job at Apple and fix it so that when I type “when” it never assumes I mean “but hen”.
I'm not a Brewers guy but they do have the best Mascots
Behold, the Magnificent Galloping Weenies!
And they say Cubs culture is weird. 😄😉
Those of us from Wisconsin have a few different sayings but we can go with weird.
Well, I guess now they need to be more weird than San Diego and wreck their beach party. Hope to get a rematch, but it don't look too good.
+SP and -BP vs -SP and ++BP
Gonna be a great Wild Card series.
And 2 nights, at least, WAAYYYYYYYY past my bedtime.

Paid x2
Who is Jackson Chourio?
"I think Milwaukee is a team of density."
-George McFly
His clutch hit on a 3-2 count, two outs, in the bottom of the 9th, to win the game, sure paid for at least part of that contract.
Chourio is one of those guys that seems to be making a name in MKE as a clutch hitter.

i've seen Chourio's game-winner from different sections of the ballpark..............they are all awesome vids
the fans went completely berserk
They should. For all the recent years of success they've had, but no title, their fan base is beyond ready to celebrate. They're ravenous.
Good. 👍🏻
“Goddammit Merrill!”
~Pat Murphy~
🤣🤣🤣
I always feel like this is going for it on 4th and 2. Let’s see how it works out for the Friars. Great game so far.
Tip of the cap to Bauers capping off his career year without a fade.
Horrible pitch location for Miller, and it wasn't a mistake. Anything up or in and he gets him. Also why they danced around Sanchez is beyond puzzling.
Career year for sure, but he was bad in September so I cant say there was no fade, just that the fade came later than expected

I went back through the Basebal's Brewers calls and graded them on the beer scale.
2024 (April 8):
Brewers won the Central at 93-69. Cubs and Cards finished 10 games back... tied with each other, which is something I guess.
Grade: Old Style. Pours with confidence, tastes like a Wrigley trough.
2025 (March 30):
97-65. Division title. Best record in baseball.
Grade: Natural Light. Technically a beverage... nobody would call it a take.
2026 (May 9):
103-59. Best record in baseball again. Won the division by 14.
Grade: a warm can of Busch Light found under the bleachers in October. Flat, and it was never going to be good.
Three seasons, three calls, three empties... Spotted Cow is on me when you want to try again.
I'm officially rooting for the Brewers
I want the Brewers vs the Chi Sox, I have a World Series winner prop bet with the Sox which I'll promptly cash out if they make the World Series
So there ya have it
Finally?
After 57 Seasons?
Destiny?
Tried in the American League, how bout the
National League?
A couple more hurdles to go.
Good Luck

I'm all in on the Brew Crew
Let's go Milwaukee
I want to see how fast this first pitch is.
Is it safe to turn on MLB network again or are Plesac and Reynolds still confused about how Balks work?
😂 omg
It’s the marine layer.
