Most people understand the obvious financial point. Play them early as I outlined, not in the middle/end of the season.

Yes its so annoying when those cupcake games are played late in the season. Get them out of the way early.

Theres no difference. You play 1 game in August you get 1 win. You play 1 game in October you get 1 win. Its 1 win or 1 loss any time of the year

Nah, I think its a huge difference. College football has ZERO pre season games. So it makes a lot more sense scheduling tune up cupcake games at the beginning of the season. Getting close to post season, the fans dont want to see those kind of games. VERY annoying.

Again a game in August is 1 win or one loss just like in October. The teams that stack them early do so to try and get an inflated ranking with a better record. Some teams decide to save one and have a harder start to the season so they can get a break for a week after running a gauntlet of real games.

Bama played a conference game week two and saved one of their out of conference games for before their rival to end the year which they always do. Auburn does the same thing. Georgia plays 2 cupcakes then its all conference games until the final game of the year with GT which is still a power 4 team. FL does the same thing with FSU.

Any team can do it if they want to. If they want to use them all immediately to get the highest ranking possible they dont get to complain that someone is playing one later in the year

Fence Posts use logic? In that case I need to start talking to them.

Id love to see a REAL reason other than I just dont like it and my school doesnt do it

Ill give you a hint there is none

The SEC plays those cupcakes at the end of the season because they need some rest after playing that torturous Conference schedule. They are the best teams in the NCAA, you know, so that extra "Off Week" helps them prepare for the playoffs.

Northwestern beating PSU would be hysterical.

VT has the sickest entrance in college football

Miami going to boat race Clemson.
    Florida Mizzou
    Kentucky the real USC
    Navy Air Force,
    BYU TCU
Texas Tech Colorado just cus its funny seeing Colorado lose which they should. Throw ND UNC into that same category.
Washington Beating SoCal would be funny

This is just hilarious. Also think that Ryan guy who paid for the stadium has an ego with his name on the stadium, the roof and the field lol

Small stadium but designed to be louder than it should be.

Who would have ever bet the nicest stadium in Illinois would be Northwestern

Hope they have some more money cus if they are actually going to be good their coach is going to get some better job offers in the next couple years

i hope stevek was doing anything other than watching that game tonight

PSU looked like a Big 10 doormat

    rushing yards:

    Northwestern - 413
    Penn St - 48

Someone also needs to tell Franklin to stop doing Franklin stuff and that VT needs to score in the second half. Good game but the 2nd spot for the ACC title game is wide open. Miami almost certainly beats Clemson and Louisville has been disappointing so far leaving that second spot wide open to like 7 or 8 different teams

PSU has a soft conference schedule which made a lot of people think they could make the playoffs but dropping two games that should have been wins to start is brutal. Really will probably be 0-3 with SoCal next and really maybe even 0-4 with Michigan after that which shouldnt be a game thats in play but as of now is. Washington and Minn arent even gimmes anymore with what theyve showed so far

Upon further review VT had a FG that was good called no good and should have won the game by 1

Alabama and Mississippi State are battling but Miss is probably doomed because they have no running game. That makes it much easier for the 'Tide, pin back your ears and rush that QB. And I have to ask the inevitable question: Who else enjoys watching Bill Belichick lose football games?? The dude has nothing to prove, he should be at home with that hot young wife of his, drinking a cold one and sitting with a Crown on his head.

    Must be a workaholic.

Georgia, usually a very good running team, has less than 10 yards on the ground against Vanderbilt with 6 minutes left in the half. Frustrating not being able to watch, what's up with the running game today??

Gunner is just throwing the ball all over the field and they cant stop him so no reason to move away from the pass

Well GA lost two of its WRs

Well that sucked. Going to need Army to beat AF now and Navy to beat Army so its a 3 way split and Navy keeps the CIC trophy

Alabama finally showed their strength and won going away, Georgia isn't really struggling but I'd have thought they'd roll over Vandy. I see now the Bulldogs have scored again and will win going away like 'Bama.

Should be the best game so far in the season next week in Tuscaloosa, I think the home field will give the game to Alabama.

Well Mizzou is going to get FL. FL needed that to be a 10 win team, should still win 8 or 9 but TX and GA are still left on their schedule. Mizzou is legit but still has Ole Miss, TX, and GA left

OSU game was over 30 seconds into it when Iowa gave them the free TD

    Tenn held off Auburn

Kentucky and the original USC are in a dog fight in the 4th

The only thing faster than Florida's rise to #8 should be their fall to #15. Given enough time AP Voters will realize they can't move teams so high early in the season because of one win, or drop them far because of one loss. That should be the only movement in the Top 12, everyone move up one spot and someone new in 12. Unless AP Voters want to reward/punish teams because of being idle. Texas, Indiana, 'Ole Miss and Utah all rested today.

Ohio State beats Iowa 31-14 but the score is a little deceiving, early on Iowa exposed and exploiyed some of what's wrong with Ohio State: problems overall on defense and trouble on the o-line. The defense is sort of the residue of success since the Buckeyes lost so many players in the Draft last year but the o-line is a problem dating back to last season. It doomed the team against both Indiana and Miami and should have been fixed. Time will tell because there are some tough opponents ahead.

Relax only team Iowa has played is Michigan and everyone has a great defense against Underwood. Smiths a stud but Iowa would hardly be considered one of the top D. Game was over in 45 seconds with the turnover. Iowas only chance and it was basically none was to score first or hold it scoreless for a long time. OSU is too much better than them to play from behind against them the whole game
