On instagram, I saw some colorful coin images, including from @Boosibri . I played around with it some. Here are some comparisons with TVs below.
A few thoughts:
- For most coins it takes substantially better photos then I could manage on my own
- In some cases, I think the ai image is better than the TV. I think these are the post Phil era TVs.
- It does do some funky stuff. I have a coin with a planchet flaw... which comes and goes on some of the images it generated?!
- the generated descriptions, including population numbers, are not correct.
Coin #1. I prefer the ai images for the depth of detail.

Coin #2. Similarly, the TV is too dark for this coin. The ai image is too bright but it shows more detail.

Coin #3. I like the TV for this one better. And check out the date on the reverse. The ai is having trouble.


Coin #4. Ditto. I think the TV is better, but it is close. And again, this is much better than I can do on my own.
