    You could very well be right. This one at first glance seems to be moving slower than BOM4 which still has 1911 left available. BOM5 now sits at 7239 after four hours on sale. 5094 have sold today (not taking into account that the ATS number actually ROSE a few hundred just a few minutes into the drop time.

    No matter how much I try I just can't like the medal.

    The way Ms. Liberty is drawn she has skinny biceps paired with really large extensor and flexor muscles and her forearm appears to move or bend in an unnatural manner. That, in combination with her absolute man-hands, always makes me look at the image and think this was a quick, first pass drawing that was never corrected.

    I checked this at 4:30 pm EST today, and also did the same for BOM 4 at the same time when it went on sale. To compare the two one ounce releases from this series:

    Bom 4 ATS at drop was 11,044 and 4243 remained at 4:30 that day...sold 6801
    Bom 5 ATS at drop was 12,333 and 7186 remained at 4:30 that day...sold 5147

    I couldn't help myself and called the Mint about my order that said it could not be filled. They said it was a CC issue. This is despite that the CC is the same one that they've shipped my subscriptions with w/no issue.

    Has anyone else had inexplicable CC issues? The rep could not tell me why there was an issue.

    I have not, but here (and on other social media platforms) there have been more than a handful of people suffering under the same issue as you right now. I have seen several people have had to leave messages (with no call back) I hope you get it resolved.

    I had an issue like this earlier this year. One of the recent big releases it looked like the problem was quite frequent with many people.

    The low/slow sales will be good for the medal values. I bought one because I think people are missing the opportunity to sell off the medal to subsidize the gold.

    I messed up and somehow selected express shipping. Per the shipping notifications, it looks like I'll have it tomorrow!

    I’m torn. I really want this coin but think it may come down in value and I may be able to pick it up graded cheaper later. Of course if it does not sell well it may skyrocket later, lol. I’ll give it a few days to decide.

    prices are elevated in the aftermarket due to demand

    since this is cold, there will be no elevation to come down later

    From the prices for the 0.25 oz, 0.50 oz, and 1.00 ounce sets, it seems that the Mint is pricing the silver medal by itself at about $300. That's a fairly high price and if the Mint had a different set of products that contain only the gold coin but at a price that is $300 less than the set of products that contain a gold coin and silver medal, I almost certainly would have passed on the silver medals.

    Each of the silver medals has something about it that I do not like:

    1. Mercury dime medal - I actually think this is a fairly nice looking medal but the art style seems incongruous with the style of art on typical U.S. coinage. All in all, I like the medal but not at $300.

    2. Standing Liberty quarter medal - I've commented before that I think Liberty's foot is wrong, being a right foot when it should be a left foot. The reverse of the medal is kind of odd, too, now that I look at it again after complaining about Liberty's foot on the obverse. Eagle's talons (feet). Did Quentin Tarantino help design this medal? :) Render the correct foot on Liberty and I would have bought this medal if it were optional.

    3. Walking Liberty medal - I do not not like this medal at all. Liberty looks like a man in a martial arts pose and the eagle looks like it is diving to attack something.

    4. Flowing Hair Liberty medal - I think this is the best looking medal out of all of them. I think the reverse is uninspired but the obverse is terrific. I would have paid $300 extra to get this medal.

    5. Saint Gaudens medal - I have not yet received this set but I do not like the medal and thus would have liked an option to save $300 and get the gold coin only. On coins, I don't like faces not rendered in profile and this medal seems particularly bad. I don't like the reverse, either, where the eagle's wings turn into the flag.

    All that said, I'm not selling my medals. I'm kind of a stickler for keeping sets together.
