Well, I wouldn't have done it for just the 20 cents. LOL. But I got unlucky and only got one privy. But I sold the privy for $125, almost instantly. So, that's a net profit of about $165, despite getting unlucky. I sold all the privies in 36 hours with my discount pricing. You can (currently) get a net $2.50 if you want to push the price.
Believe me, it's not exactly a labor of love. It was more of a gamble. But it was a gamble with little risk. Even if I just spent them, I'd only be out about $150. And by selling them singly, my lottery ticket was a guaranteed winner with only a couple hours of packing and shipping as the penalty.

This is true. Although the group is not that big. A number of people who bought the Trump coins from me "found me" by having bought the 2026 Uncirculated sets from me. I've actually had a lot of repeat business form those.
But, I'm not sure I would recommend buying the Trump $ bags at $150 each to try and net $2 to $2.50 each. It ended up being 70 "packages" that I had to ship over the last two days. LOL. Fortunately, I'm sort of set up to handle these volumes so I have sufficient envelopes and corrugated mailers on hand that I buy in bulk. It could be messier if you've never tried it before.
But...it was what it was. I got unlucky on the privies, so I made lemonade out of the lemons.
I may have to sell a few Mint set coins due to the issues with my last group of Mint sets. So, hopefully some of these new "customers" want a SemiQ dime or half dollar. But, maybe I'll put that story on the proper thread.

Backorder box number one showed up today.
NINE privies (sorry for the bad photos).
I also found about 20 coins with a slight but noticeable die rotation. Probably too minor to matter, but I figure any error on these might be interesting.

I Just opened my backordered $100 bag with 9-1-26 date on the box and got completely skunked. Also got skunked on the roll I bought that was delivered a week or so ago.

Back when the privy deal was announced I calculated that a little under 3% of the coins in the rolls and bags should be privies, but that was obviously an average. I was hoping for a better mix but getting a perfect distribution of privies among all the coins was unlikely.
But 39, or 16 as reported once in this thread, or even my 9 is a bit extreme.
My second bag arrives today. We'll see how it goes.

These boxes seem to be very much as hit or miss as any of the others. Which indicates that the Mint did, indeed, premix all of the privies into all of the coins prior to packaging, or they held back an appropriate number of privies for later mixing.

If I was part of a coin group I would recommend combining all of the bags and distributing any privies found to even things out. Say 10 people in the group, 20 bags total. Have a pizza party and open all 20 bags and split the privies evenly...

NGC is 1 to 2 points higher than PCGS, IMO, after looking at a lot of them.
You can almost guarantee a one point bump up with N vs P. And prices reflect this.

Yes to the negative. I have documented that PCGS graded W quarters consistently sell for more than an NGC graded W quarter of the same grade.
Not sure if this is true for all US Coins as I don't collect them.

I don't know the exact times - one might have been at 12:15 or so, but the other was past 12:20 for sure.
I don't think they ever showed as processing but if they did, they went to backorder quickly.
I track on my phone and I don't think I get the estimated shipping date there.
I have two still on backorder from the first day, ordered after the initial waiting room lockout.
I feel a little badly posting these successes but I'm trying to give people with backorders a reason to be optimistic. Some people who received coins early got skunked, while some who got backorders found privies (sometimes lots of them).
So far, i don't see any disadvantage to receiving coins that were on backorder. (We'll see if I feel the same way when my other two eventually ship).

@JBK Nothing at all to feel bad about. Congrats to you, and all finding privies. I'm just trying to pin down if anyone has received bags, that got the notice they were on backorder status and an expected shipping date (October 7) before you even actually place the order, those are the backorder bags I'm curious about. I was told by a rep today, and I know they are not always reliable, that those orders haven't started to ship yet. I currently have bags in my greedy little hands, waiting to be searched, that went to backorder status after the initial sale, then later to processing, and shipped.

I wish I had a double privy ender! My end roller was also from a 8/12 box.

I just opened three rolls. I'll see if I save or later open one of the 8/12 rolls with the standard head/tail configuration.
Overall, the quality of the coins is what I would call MS63/64 quality. The reverse look awesome and don't seem to get beat up as bad as the obverse.
Of the three rolls, I found three privy coins. One from the two 8/14 rolls and two from the one 8/12 ender roll. I also put aside six coins that were better quality than the rest.. maybe MS65/MS66 quality. I would say that on average, the three privy coins had less bag marks than the non-privy coins.

I would like to have a Privy Dollar for my Type collection, but I am suspicious about OBW rolls being sold on ebay. Wouldn't the people rolling these dollars pick the privy dollars out before rolling them?

One seller seems to have bank wrapped rolls (not the ones the mint sold) and he is suggesting that there could be privies inside. But the mint made it clear that the privies are only in the bags and rolls sold on the mint's website.

You are better off buying a privy on its own (and it looks like the prices are coming down, so if you wait a few more months, it should be even lower than now).
