BTW - those radio guys keep it very clean. I don't recall a harsh cuss word, or even say a mild one such as "dam" that they ever uttered.

You may be missing the point, but that doesn't surprise me. Brady's brain is still on the field. He can't help himself. He's being real. He gets excited when football stuff happens on a football field. He desperately would rather be in a huddle than a tailored suit. So he slipped a cuss word. Big deal.
Just to elaborate, I really can't stand him for the most part. But, at least he's being real when he discusses the game. I wish more guys would slip. It's not as if the FCC is hawking over football announcers when they have better sh!t to do.

I am as big of a Brady fan as anyone, but i dont care where his brain is. dont care if he would "desperately" rather be on the field. dont care how excited he gets. he is now a professional broadcaster. it is supremely unprofessional to curse on air. and yes, it is a "big deal"
if you havent noticed, societal standards are dipping. perhaps nosediving is a better term. there are ways people should act in public or at their jobs that are different from when they are on their own time.
as far as "being real" well, often "being real" is not the way when in public, doing public type things. when in public at work, you do not have licence to be your "true, authentic self" you are representing the company you work for. Be a grown up and act like one. If Tom is cursing so much in his private life that when he gets a little bit excited one "slips" on-air, perhaps he needs to reevaluate how he acts in private and introduce a bit of decorum into his life.
Brady (and others) need to get some self control and conduct themselves professionally.

uh, yeah. of course i watch football games. are the players miked up and broadcast on network television? are the fans miked up and broadcast on network television? if they are, it is certainly edited for content. as it should be.

I think we could elevate this to an all-time high, but it's just a difference of opinion on a Brady slip-up. He cussed. He knew it. I'm sure he felt slightly ashamed. But, we, as a society DO need to loosen up a bit. People are too uptight over little stuff. A cuss word. Sheesh. Get over it. I conduct myself as an adult with manners and behave politely in public. Except if I need to fart in the direction of a nuisance.

I just heard that caleb williams is week to week? man, the way he reacted to the injury, i thought someone had shot him in the leg with a .30-06. didnt they actually cart him off the field?
at any rate, i am glad he will be back soon. as silly as Aaron Rodgers is, when he popped his achilles, i remember him just sitting on the field waiting for the training staff. some people just have different pain tollerances i guess.

When Rodgers popped his Achilles, he quite likely waited for assistance because he couldn't get up and walk away on his own. When Caleb went down he was in severe pain coupled with the immediate reactive thought of his future as a quarterback being compromised. A hamstring injury is not about pain tolerance, it FRIKKIN HURTS!!!

Beg to differ with you but I watched it on TV and knew he hurt the hamstring immediately. So he’s a drama queen. I can’t argue that much. As if so many other NFL players don’t have their own tiny violin moments. LOL. Coulda handled it better. I don’t care as long as he gets his talent back out there soon.

I agree. i like Caleb and am rooting for the bears over in the NFC. the reaction he gave was 100% soft though. i would be so embarrased to react like that on national television and then be listed as week to week. i guess he doesnt care about the optics.

You guys are a tough crowd. I’ve pulled a hamstring several times and saying there’s little or no pain is not really accurate. It’s a really uncomfortable feeling enough so that I would sure call it pain the times it happened to me.
Now put yourself in his shoes. Second game of the season, the feeling when you feel the pop combined with the sudden realization that you will be missing playing time. What’s wrong with screaming out in pain and or frustration? The dudes a competitor, if he was my QB I would be more upset if he didn’t show any emotion.0
