just listened to the new "all the smoke" interview with canseco. he said he knows of 4 current HOFers who used PED and he played with 2 of them.

who do you think they are?
a few immediately come to mind: Henderson, I. Rodriguez, Nolan Ryan, Piazza

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    Piazza, Bagwell I think. I don't think Ryan or Henderson. If they did I wouldn't hold it against them as far as legitimacy.

    what about the 2 he played with? i know he played with ryan, henderson and irod. perhaps there are some others i cant think of right now

    Jose used to play for the Madison Muskies. Back in the day when I went to Card Shows in Madison WI as a kid Larry Fritsch had Musky Sets with Jose. He gave me one for free. I dont know if I still have it. Would have to dig.

    Jose was such a dynamic player and I’m ready for his redemption. I think the longer it goes the less this is an issue for folks and the more he will be appreciated.

    jose also mentioned that after many years he and Mcgwire finally met up. McGwire had been furious at jose after the book and they didnt speak for probably 15-20 years.

    jose said they hugged and he appologized. i dont know if that means they will be cordial again, but at least they had a brief meeting after many years

    I think all four are correct.

    I've always thought Jose's book was the best thing baseball could have asked for. It exposed an obvious truth and helped clean up the sport (for a little while). Technically, I'd add Bud Selig to the list, as he orchestrated everything knowingly and somehow has a plaque in Cooperstown.

    this is what really makes me mad that the man that could stopped or controlled the use of peds bud selig is in the hall of fame but the players that used them are not. selig should not be allowed in the hall of fame.

    It will be interesting to see if he shares any names or if they remain private. A lot of players have been mentioned in PED discussions over the years, but it is important to separate confirmed cases from speculation. Until there is clear information, it is hard to know who he was referring to.

    i doubt he will. he said he regretted it with McGwire and it led to a 15-20 year feud. I think he did out I. Rodriguez already though.

    But, Nolan sure would fit the bill, having already worked so closely with Tom House. Rickey does too. Chiseled body and played well into his 40s.

    I have long suspected Johnson as a user. he may have been the most successful "old" pitcher ever.

    wouldnt they have been on both the 1992 and 1993 rangers teams at the same time? jose got traded to texas during the 92 season

    I love those Fritsch cards. Those team logos are so great! I have Jose's Muskies' card signed. My buddy got it for me at Snappers game when he made an appearance.
