Hey COOL and MAYWOOD.....I went back and watched the OSU defense, especially #3 James Smith. Watch the last play of the 3rd quarter and watch him and let me know what you think. I saw no effort at all; he'd be sitting on the bench if I was Day.

Fans love to hate Ohio State.

Fans love to hate Alabama.

Fans love to hate Notre Dame.

There's a reason for it. It's because those Schools have elite Football Programs, they are successful, they win. Watch a game with one of those three playing and there's a very, very good chance they'll win. People hate that!!! Nobody hates Northwestern, nobody hates Vanderbilt, those Schools aren't a threat to win.

So hate on, but come this Saturday you can almost be sure that Ohio State, Alabama and Notre Dame will win but don't be so sure about Northwestern and Vanderbilt. I've hated in the past but have reached a point where it just isn't worth it.

Some truth to this, I think people get tired of schools who are consistently in the mix and get that top 5 ranking before the season starts

Miami has historically been disliked and I'm sure people are tired of Georgia

I think some people were rooting for Manning to fail just because of the hype around him

It's why everyone hated Brady, Belichick and the Patriots. Now, couldn't really care much about Brady and the Pats but Belichick is just hard to like even if he discovered a cure for cancer.

BC will get to the CWS regionals every now and then in baseball but havent gotten past that. Hockey too if youire a fan of them but yea no chance in football

I know they put together solid hockey but no I don't follow college anything outside of football

Funny thing I went to a BC vs Notre Dame football game and I was shocked that there was no tailgating

I wouldnt call 3 points in the 3rd dominating, That one was a push. The first half for sure with all the Texas fumbles and Arch forgetting how to play football

Unless OSU craps the bed theyll be favored against SoCal and Iowa. They should win both of those and Im not sold yet that Indiana is what they were last year but do like their coach

A power 4 team against ND (which should be one but wont cus they keep getting TV deals) not having tailgating is just sad

I follow baseball but not really hockey either. Hockey is weird they have their own rules where NHL teams can draft someone, they can still play and call them up at anytime and just use college hockey as their minor leagues.

Texas didnt score a TD until the 4th quarter, so I would say that is domination. Texas got lucky Ohio State kickers cant kick FG's in the 4th quarter.

Its hard to win on the road. USC is always tough in their backyard. Last year they were 7-0. Last year Indiana only beat Iowa by 5 points.

I'm not sure Texas will make the playoffs as they have some tough road games at Tennessee, LSU, and Texas A@M. And then their rivalry game with Oklahoma could go either way.

Along with Michigan vs Ohio State I think MY most anticipated game is Auburn vs Alabama, I think they call it the Iron Bowl!!! I remember 2013 and that missed Field Goal, _has to be one of the most exciting plays in all History of NCAA Football _.

Another interesting thing about that game that even I forgot along with the rest of Humanity: time on the clock had expired and Nick Saban challenged it and 1 second was added, extending the game for the improbable ending.

So everyone who had a kaniption fit induced heart attack over the recent Oklahoma vs Michigan game can take solace in the fact that it had happened before.

Don’t you love it when History repeats itself!!!

Michigan vs Ohio State is my favorite game of the season, obviously big tilts like Texas and OSU type games are up there

@Bullsitter, it is ironic indeed that Nick Saban argued to have that time added to the clock and it ended up beating him. Alabama would have had at least the same odds in OT.

Hindsight, as they say, is always 50/50.

Lots of History during that stretch of time. I’ve been watching some game highlights to soothe the pain of last Saturday and the SEC had that seven year streak of Natty’s. Domination!! It can be argued that maybe the best teams in the Nation weren’t all in the SEC, but at that time the BEST TEAM was for seven straight years and it all coincided with Saban arriving as HC of the ‘Tide.

Today the Indiana plays WKU. The interesting thing about this game is that last week WKU faced off against Georgia. I feel confident that Indiana will win easily but the back-to-back games against the same WKU might give an idea of the relative strength of both sides he opponents.

I want to say Analytics helps them but honestly as far back as I can remember betting in the early 90's they seem to have always been pretty close with spreads

I’m listening to Ohio State on the radio and I wondered what the o/u might be. It’s right around 58-59. The game’s near the end of the 3rd quarter with the Buckeyes up 42-0 and all the subs are in, Kent State has just intercepted.

So I’m thinking not gonna make that 58-59 today. Suddenly, in the first 41 seconds of the 4th quarter Ohio State rips off a 75 yard TD pass and scoop and score on a fumble and it’s 56-0.

Amazing how they figure out those numbers!!!

@Bullsitter, listening to the Ohio State game and just now they announced that……………………next season The Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Columbus for Game 3!!!

I can only assume that means the following season will see Ohio State traveling to Tuscaloosa!!!

Texas A&M(9) in trouble against unranked Kentucky entering the 4th.
Alabama(10) struggling against unranked Florida State before the half.
Indiana(4) over WKU by 24 in the 3rd but I’d expect a wider margin.

Well, the three games I was following Texas A&M went down, after a delay Alabama has stormed back with a vengeance and Indiana won but nowhere near the margin I expected.

I wonder what surprises 2 o’clock Sunday will bring??
