we were just surprised with the 9-11 half dollars sold online with P mm and "9/11 never forget" privy.
then today we were surprised with circulation strike half with a "9/11 always remember" privy from unknown mints (assume P&D) and don't forget they struck some special half dollars with the "9/11 always remember" privy from west point

It will definitely be a work in progress, but I thought that perhaps somebody might want to get a start while the body is still warm.

United States Mint Releases Special-Issue Enduring Liberty Half Dollars with “09-11-01” Privy Mark into Circulation

WASHINGTON, Sep. 14, 2026 — The United States Mint (Mint) today shipped 250,000 special-issue Enduring Liberty Half Dollar coins with privy mark to Federal Reserve Banks to further honor the victims of the September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, terrorist attacks. The privy mark includes the date “9-11-01” encircled by the phrase, “ALWAYS REMEMBER,” a pledge to never forget the Americans whose tragedies and heroism marked September 11, 2001. The coins—struck at the West Point Mint and bearing a W mint mark—will be placed randomly into circulation across the Nation.
About the coin, Mint Director Paul Hollis stated, “Following the tragic attacks 25 years ago on our nation, ordinary acts were transformed into extraordinary acts. No one understands that better than New Yorkers. That is why we took a truly American coin—the 2026 Enduring Liberty Half Dollar—and for the first time, put it in the hands of our West Point employees to mint. Lady Liberty’s steadfast gaze not only looks toward the future but also has a special 9-11 Always Remember privy mark in sight—a tribute to this solemn anniversary.”
On August 21, the Mint presented 2,983 coins to the National 9/11 Memorial & Museum (Memorial) in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and the six victims who died in the February 16, 1993, World Trade Center Bombing. The coins were delivered to the Memorial in advance of the September 11 remembrance event, marking a quarter-century since the 9/11 attacks and coinciding with the Nation’s 250th anniversary year.
The obverse design shows a close-up view of the Statue of Liberty, her steadfast gaze looking outward as if toward the future. The inscriptions are “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “1776 ~ 2026.”
The reverse design features Liberty passing her torch, its flame trailing with the momentum of purpose, to a new generation. Inscriptions are “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “HALF DOLLAR,” and “KNOWLEDGE IS THE ONLY GUARDIAN OF TRUE LIBERTY.”
The standard issue (non-privy mark) Enduring Liberty Half Dollar entered circulation at the beginning of 2026 and is being manufactured for one year only at the Mint’s Denver and Philadelphia facilities.
Authorized by the Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020 (Public Law 116-330), and signed into law on January 13, 2021, by President Donald J. Trump, the coin commemorates 250 years of American Liberty by reflecting our country’s founding principles and honoring our Nation’s history.

I agree. I normally would have hesitated as well, but that the specifications for the rolls and bags list the finish as circulating, unlike any of the AI dollar coins. Now I'm curious, are these available to banks to order through the Federal Reserve?

I fixed the circulating business strike v unc glitch. If I liked the comment, it means I adjusted the list in my edits. I’m not giving up on the platinum $100 or palladium $25 yet until the Mint calls it or 2027.
for the commem gold - the agw isn't 1/8oz. the mint lists it as 90% and .243toz agw - traditional
perhaps the Capt can comment - $20 is 0.9675 thus making a $5 - 0.241875toz agw to be picky about the math. wha the actual agw of a $5 gold may be differently expressed by people not as picky? perhaps 0.482 would be better. thos i suppose none of the weight matters actually

Sounds like PCGS needs to create a Registry set! That's a lot of coins to chase and grade...
Right, thus my response to the post assuming thry were P and D mintage.
I decided last year to only include circulating coins in my 21st century type set and omit varieties (privy marks). Sold everything else. Reluctantly carrying on the 21st century set notwithstanding some dubious issues. Jury is still out on that. Just too much. Ah, don’t you love “marketing”? 1964 might have been a clean stopping point for US type. Tempting.

That's it, the cent and nickel are just a date change, the Presidential dollar is just another dollar (not a change in type) none are worth type set level
