We have a similar post count. I don’t feel “punished” at all. I would hope someone would judge my posts by the quality of the content and not a post count.

In other words, a post count should never been construed as a proxy to measure knowledge, experience, expertise, etc., although some have sadly used them that way here.

Hi there! PCGS did not build the Forum and we don't do any coding/engineering of the Forum. So, we're not the ones that removed the post count but I will ask the Vanilla Forum (the people who keep the forum running) for some clarity and if we can bring back the post count at all

Thanks. The IT folks might not even be aware that the post count is missing. They may have upgraded some of the software and the upgrade may have inadvertently deleted it.

Does the post count really matter to some here? I mean, does it make that big of a difference? On eBay I can understand a low feedback number making someone leery about doing business with them, but heck, I can post a . or … and it counts as a post. 🤔😬

I can see your point. When I look at BST offerings I generally look to see who’ve they’ve done business with. I got an absolutely gorgeous Franklin from @winesteven…..and he even delivered it to me at a show. Never even thought of looking at his post count because the coins he always posts are always so incredibly beautiful, so I figured he knew what he was doing and talking about here! And he was a wonderful collector to chat and do business with too! 😉 Cheers, karl

I don't think post count is the best gauge of a good seller/buyer. It helps, but......
Multiple Successfull transactions over time is imo, better.

One thing I noticed is the "analytics" button of a Forum member when I click on an avatar. So, if I need to know post count, or date joined, or last active, etc... it's one click away...

A lot of us were curious as to why they deleted them and why they were they fixing something that wasn't broken. Actually, I don't think the post counts were intentionally deleted and were a part of the ongoing computer glitches that we've been experiencing here.

My post count shows (above) as 10,217 (as of the time of this post).
When I visit my profile page, it also lists my "Posts" count as "10,217".But my "Comments" tally shows 9.9K.
I have been awarded a "5,000 Comments" badge, but not a "10,000 Comments" badge.
I assume I will get that badge when my "Comments" tally reaches 10.0K ?I do not know why there is a discrepancy.
It seems that there is 218 to 317 posts that I have made that I did not get badge credit for.0 -
