Is PCGS moving HQ to Jersey City NJ?

I wish submissions could be picked up there as well. I have some irreplaceable submissions that I’d travel to submit there.

I have not heard anything about headquarters moving. But sometimes a headquarter can move but is mostly a paper type thing impacting only a small percent of people. Example: Boeing moving headquarters from Seattle to Chicago (IIRC). All the plane building, engineering and support stay as is.

The NJ location came about for PSA a few years ago. Here is a link from Feb 2022.

The 'Walk In' started there sometime after PCGS started doing the 'Walk In' at Southern California location. Here is a Facebook about it from about a year ago.

You’re behind on moves… HQ is now out of Chicago and in Alexandria. But it’s a Delaware corporation and the company CEO plus all the commercial executives are in Seattle.

I will be way behind on Boeing stuff but I was not attempting to say anything about the current Boeing status. I checked on the internet and Boeing did move the HQ from Seattle to Chicago (as I was recalling) in 2001. And as I noted this impacted few and production type stuff remained as is. My point being if PCGS or collectors was to move HQ there potentially could be little impact to those doing the work at PCGS or collectors.

Too bad that NGC moved out of Parsippany. A great coin show and location for their operation. It was probably an economic decision. However cac seems happy in NJ and in Virginia Beach.

Sorry, I didn't intend to come off as disagreeing, but rather furthering your point... Boeing moved HQ again, and then separately moved where the CEO sits, all the while, right to your point, engineering and production were largely untouched (some of those positions have moved, but for other reasons, and not to be collocated with HQ). So I agree 100%: where the bigwigs sit and where the work is done may have little or nothing to do with each other.

I will call PCGS tomorrow to find out if they will allow me to pick up my graded coins in NJ as well as currently allowed dropping off coins to be graded.

They've had "walk-in Wednesdays" in Jersey City for drop off submissions for a while now.
