Sharing some pretty Capped Bust dimes

The 1833 JR-1, PCGS-CAC MS62+ (R3), came to me via @Desert Moon a few months ago. The 1833 JR-2, PCGS-CAC MS62 (R4+), is a new acquisition via the Dave Perkins Sealed Bid Sale of the Jim Matthews dimes. Something good was happening in 1833! Anyway, I like the pretty girls and thought I'd share.

Unlike the OP’s pretty girls, mine lean more toward “plain janeish”:

This thread has a great combo of wonderful color and grey dirt originality. I like both types.

@Bikergeek i really like that 62+. The fiery luster shows well in the photos. @Desert Moon finds some super coins!

I didn’t know you were “into” Capped Bust Dimes? Those three are real beauties. My fave is that 1831 MS65!

David Perkins did a great job auctioning off Jim Mathews CBD collection. Sorry, I don't have a picture to share but the one I really wanted and won is the 1833 JR-7. Its a rarity 4+ and very scarce and this one is most likely in the top 3 for the variety. Besides being quite scarce, it carries a cool provenance - Ex Buddy Ebsen, Bill Subjack, Russ Logan, Joe O'Donnell and Jim Matthews. Its a who-who for Early dimes.

Its getting more and more difficult finding a CBD for my set so whenever one comes up that I desire, I tend to bid somewhat stronger. Congrats to everyone that acquire one of Jim's precious dimes!
