Backorder on an item like this is usually packaging not coins. They've struck fast more coins than needed to fill the bags and rolls.

This ^^^. @jmlanzaf -- your number on the bags is way off. There were 50K bags, and 8.75 million available for sale on the web. 16.4 million could very well be the actual number.

It's not like these are going to be circulating like other coins. Without a privy chase, it's not like the general public is going to be hoarding them by the hundreds.

TLDR -- all the coins have likely already been struck. The question is whether privies were held back to mix into the back ordered bags and rolls. And the answer is TBD.

Correct. It's a crap shoot anyway.

@Bundles84 has already reported getting no privies in 2 bags of 100, and 6 in one roll of 25. But, when the back orders are shipped, if no one reports getting any privies, then we'll know they all went into the bags and rolls that were packaged in advance of release.

they had 10s of 1000s of orders, so assuming it'll take a bit longer to process all those

I did have the card issue, so it might not hurt to call if youre concerned, but I assume everyone will be moving through the system in roughly the order their orders came in and/or were processed successfully by the mint

Interesting to note... There is a difference of 46,347 between my BOM4 order number (placed on 8/27) and my Trump rolls and bags order number (placed on 9/2). There is a difference of 1,226,881 between my Trump rolls and bags order number and my Palladium Eagle order number (placed on 9/3).

Neither my rolls and bags nor palladium have shipped yet. Haven't gotten the problem email yet. Hopefully they ship out today before the holiday weekend.

You have the option to just return them...

But can you really do that with something like this, after opening them? If so, tons of people will open them up, strip out the privies, replace them with regular coins, and return them.

We never had anything like this before, and people don't generally return anything that is removed from its holder, so it will interesting to see what happens when people try this, as someone inevitably will.

I'm thinking that I should have placed two orders instead of one. One for the rolls and one for the bags. I hope the backordered bags aren't slowing down the shipment of the rolls.

I know I have said this before... but I really do not like fighting the waiting room. I had better luck battling through the mint site crashes.

A friend and I have four bags from three separate orders. We were stuck in the waiting room but were in the large scramble before the bags showed as "backorder" on the site. But, our bag orders are all backordered now. I have to wonder if they really had all that many bags ready to go.

I love how they are slow-rolling this out to determine if any Privy's are reported in the back-ordered bags.

They are playing both sides - first they would not take any Rolls - but now that Rolls are shipping and reports are being made that Privy's are in the rolls...they all of sudden want Rolls and will even change your order to indicate they want the rolls in your order but they're not sure yet if they want the backordered bags!

Wow... They really are playing both sides of this to their advantage...all the while...offering only $28 payout for two rolls!

I could easily make more here on BST selling any found Privy's, all the while spending the rest and still be ahead.

Man, I actually had the day off and could have gone to the DC store. I only ordered two rolls online, no bags. I didn't think that these would be a big deal. Ugh!!! What mistakes.

The singles are selling fast on eBay, I sold 72 in 3 hours already. Making a few bucks on each.

Any break down on where they were from, rolls/bags? Anything on time stamps?

The singles are all non-privy, I only got 1 privy in two rolls that I opened so far. I still have 2 rolls coming today and 4 bags on BO.

Date code was 8-3-26 on the rolls I received.
