Hi, everyone, and welcome to my latest CU forum-exclusive giveaway (most of my giveaways take place on CoinTalk).


This time around, it's nothing earthshaking, but still, who'd like a buck's face value in silver Washingtons?


All you have to do to enter is say you want 'em.


Winner will be selected by random number generator on or after September 1st.


Free worldwide shipping. If you do win, I only ask that you post here after you have received 'em, so we'll all know you got 'em (helps me keep track).


This is an average circulated lot of four 90% silver Washington quarters, all from the 1940s. Each contains .1808 Troy ounces of silver, so there is .7232 ounces of bullion in this lot. The dates here are 1941, 1942, 1944, and 1945. All the coins in this lot are from the Philadelphia mint.

    Good. Is your daughter a YN? That would solve my dilemma of figuring out who’s a YN to give it to, should @WAYNEAS ’ post above become the winning entry.

    I was working on filling a quarter album myself, but sold it when silver spiked. These were some of the duplicates.

    Love the idea of gifting them to a YN. A couple of old-timers on the boards did that for my sons when they were young, and it meant a lot to them.

    We too had a cat named Luna (a Russian blue- or maybe just a run-of-the-mill grey, depending on the interpretation). She's sleeping in a sunny spot beyond the Rainbow Bridge now.
