do not think greysheet would be too helpful with some of these. The 1797 gold probably need to get an idea from consignor what they want for the coin and get a pic of the reverse to post. I could be interested in the 1797 gold and 1869 gold. Would want better pics of both sides of 1797 gold.

Just spoke with @Gerard . He’s aware there may be an ownership issue with the consignor and is looking into it. He also indicated his account has not been compromised. I’ll let him follow up with more details.

Sorry if not responding to all the messages but first trying to verify the validity of these coins
consigned to me. The consignor claims he has ownership of these coins and can deliver them to me.
I have entered the certification numbers into PCGS/NGC and they check out.
If anyone knows any other method for determining legal ownership please share.

The consignor apparently stole these pictures from Lone Mountain Coins and sent to me
claiming he had possession of the coins.
I knew if he was lying somebody here would be able to tell me the true owner of the coins.
And sure enough thats what happened. Sorry for the false alarm and thankyou for getting to the bottom of it.

BTW, If you are interested in these coins they are currently available at Lone Mountain Coins in Arizona.

Wow. First I saw the Wass Molitor... then the 1797 Eagle in MS.

A certain phrase involuntarily escaped my mouth. I won't repeat it here, but the first word in the phrase was "holy".

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

Please there was never going to be a financial disaster because before selling them i would have thoroughly
vetted them. Part of the vetting was to list them here to see if anyone recognized them as not being sellable..

    Scammers suck.

The GS is really not that much help for most of these coins.
