    I got mine in 2018. I think the biggest difference to me from when I started is all the great people who are not here any more, whether it be by banning, leaving, or going to the great coin show in the sky.

    Yes.

    The switchover was in October 2016. The software before then was an entirely different platform. I don't think there was anything like badges. likes, agrees, etc before then. (I do recall there used to be a Disagree option early on with those, but think we wore it out and PCGS removed it.)

    Seem to recall it was shutdown for at least a couple of days before we could login to the new one. My earliest badge shows Oct 11, 2016 which was probably within a day or two of it opening up again. My Ancient Membership still had to wait until hitting the 11th year in 2018.

    The first time a member logged in after the change, the badges automatically populated with whatever you qualified for which was often enough for the Combo Breaker badge to trigger for most members at the time.

    Those who have not logged in since, such as those who passed away or left the forum or fogot their login, don't show those badges. Their acounts still may get badges for Likes; Agrees and LOLs as seen on some who were gone before the change.

    There are probably some threads discussing the new forum opening from that time. I have not looked any up.

    Yes, I was awarded this badge in Oct 2016-the same time that a bunch of other members did, too.

    I don't see the board as improving over the years. I won't get into the criticism (because it's very unlikely to change anything) but think that this could be a much better resource. That's why I only visit on a sporadic basis. And spend my time on those "other resources".

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

    Stumbled across this thread and after reading every post I am humbled by the holders of the Ancient Membership Badge.

    Never knew this badge existed and it would be nice if there was a way to have this badge displayed next the member name in front of the stars!

    I was just talking to B. Max Mehl the other day about this thread, and he said that his Ancient Membership Badge is in the original 18 K gold.........
