Yes, but is it uglier than the SBA Dollar?

I actually may be interested in this as a gag gift if the roll was packaged inside of a toy sized catering truck.

Doesn’t the government make a net profit off them from both seigniorage and the high sales markup?

the most poorly designed 'coin' ive ever seen

    it's giving strong token vibes

this 'coin' also appears to celebrate 250 yrs of this country's history in the same way a coin featuring a ham sandwich celebrates aviation heros

That’s a bold statement given how many “clip art commemoratives” the Mint has produced, along with the obverses of the regular Presidential dollar coins being at least equally unattractive.

The reverse uses the Presidential seal as adapted from the Kennedy half dollar. That’s a classic design that may look good at the dimensions of the dollar coin. The NH AI dollar looks way more like a token than this coin.

And I think a better analogy would be to feature a modern, currently living aviator on the coin (Captain Sullenberger, for ex.) rather than a ham sandwich.

The Government needs to make a whole lot of money, but it still won’t cover the billions currently being wasted.

I'm gonna pass on the P.T. Trump coins for now. I wish he would've made them use a design with him showing a bit of a sly smile pose instead of that foolish constipated face one. Whatever...I'm sure I'll add one in the long run to my collection and place it in the section I keep oddities and vanity coins. I wonder what the consensus will be five years from now?

Will out hosts even grade these? They seem to erase any thread about the coin.
Have they already hinted at their business plan for these and will not even grade them?

That is just ridiculous to even suggest that. Ever see the thousands of coins in PCGS holders with Trump labels?

Of course they will be graded by PCGS as a U.S. Dollar coin. And they will be grading them by the thousands!

I asked because I find it interesting that any discussion about the item itself is immediately shut down - are we not allowed to talk about this coin as we are about any other coin the US Mint sells?

the previous threads spiraled out of control down a politics abyss

we're not supposed to share political feelings.

If a member breaks a forum rule they are warned of their offense.

The member is then banned for a specified period of time for repeated offenses and if the member continues to violate forum rules they risk a permanent ban.

A member who is banned will have bars put on their pic while serving their time.

Correct. People who have to jump in and stir the political pot whenever they see something posted they don’t like should be banned. That includes you and several others. Everyone knows who you all are.

Unfortunately, like I mentioned, a few people cannot control their emotions and they usually get the threads shut down. It’s a legitimate coin and a legitimate thread option, which is why it may be easier for pcgs to remove the few problem posters instead of having to shut down thread after thread.

I have been banned before...frustrating for sure but best to keep a low profile until they lift the bars.
