I was thinking the same thing. When we're dead and gone and "ALL" our collections eventually hit the market place (and they all eventually will!), even though I would like to see my collection stay in the family, these two should be sold off as a pair and kept together.
The 1858 LL flying eagles are normally found with the high leaves reverse, while the 1858 SL ones have the low leaves reverse. These two show the opposite.
If you can guess the TV show reference from these two coins, the pairing makes a whole lot more sense.

I rarely keep two bust halves of the same die marriage but I couldn’t resist when I found these, at separate times, of course.
Both are from one of my favorite years, both have the same Overton number (O.108), both are CAC stickered, but both have different grades and came from different, but very notable collections.
I consider these two coins in my collection as being a dollar date pair:
an 1859-S gold dollar and silver dollar.
One of only two years in which both a gold and silver dollar were each produced at the San Francisco mint (1870 also, but the 1870-S silver dollar is virtually unattainable).

Not necessarily a pair with much cohesion but everything considered they’re simply a nice pair of O mint dollars! The more I look at them the more they do feel like a pair so why not post them here
