hmmm thought it was supposed to be a 3-center or 1854 earlier... but here goes a play off of an 1867 Shield Nickel..
That is my fault, I posted the 1871 Two Cent piece based off of the 1871 3CS, BUT, the posted 1854 3SC beat my post by 9 minutes. My apologies for the misdirect.

...no worries. If that's the worst thing that happens to me today I'll count my blessings! ...and I'm having to get a new engine for a Honda Accord that only has 78000 miles on it!! perspective... Instead of buying a really nice $8k coin...
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
@gpnyc - nice find! But the switch to earlier types of large cents was an out of bounds play. @ambro51 ’s 1796 Liberty Cap cent, if a cool pickup at the price, was both the wrong date and wrong type for the then-current play in the game.
The last valid play was @jughead1893 ’s 1855 Braided Hair cent.
@Coinscratch - the 1845 I posted was not dug. They’d seldom do that well in the ground. I did dig an 1850 once, however.
Next play should be 1855 or Braided Hair large cent.

No doubt too dark for some folks. I kinda like it, though. And it didn’t cost me anything.
