Thanks to the nature of the distribution along with hype there aren’t many being found in change. It seems the best approach is to let everything settle down and then buy a graded coin. Way to expensive right now.

That's usually the best strategy for 99% of all Mint releases. People aren't generally that patient. I also think people are so afraid of missing the 1% winners that they buy the 99% losers.

Yes. CRH find about 2 weeks ago. I thought it was one of the regular releases and one I didn't have so I kept it. Tonight I saw a YouTube video for this coin with a high price and thought....hey, didn't I find one of those. Sure nuf....Yea, I don't pay much attention to the new stuff. The seller photos are generally not good enough to rely on. I bought one where the photos were decent enough to take a shot. It sold a little higher than the others at around $225 but I think it was worth it. I think this is good for a PCGS MS66 and might get MS67 at NGC. Although I won't be surprised if it comes back a 65 either.

Manufactured-on-purpose to be "an instant rarity" doesn't impress me in this case. The Mint should be making a few million of these quarters and inspire coin collecting for the many instead of the relative few who will readily plunk down hundreds or thousands of dollars thinking they are getting something special for their money.

An issue of 250k should inspire collectors. Scarce enough to bring initial outsized prices, yet should be findable if distributed widely. I haven’t caught anything in the news I frequent, which would definitely inspire the public to look for these, given current prices. I Don’t do social media. Has the mint done anything meaningful to publicize these, and I wonder if they’ve been thoughtful about distribution.
I can't buy boxes of quarters, or any denomination of coin packed in boxes for that matter, from my bank anymore. They will not order boxes of coin from the Federal Reserve bank for ordinary customers. This draconian policy was implemented a few years.

First, bit of comparison is needed... For those of us who searched rolls back in 2019, I declined to look in 2020 due to the Corona Virus. I searched dozens, and dozens of boxes in 2019. Found hundreds and hundreds of the "W" Quarters with the majority of them being the San Antonio Mission. There are no MS70 "W" Quarters certified by PCGS as of today, the tenth of Aug 2026. I seriously doubt any of the Privy marked 2026 examples will either?
Looking back on the 2019 and 2020 "W" Quarters, they supposedly only minted 2 million of each of the 10 different designs, so this new 2026 Privy design is a drop in the bucket... (I think the Mintage figure for the American Memorial Park 2019 quarters are suspect, but that's another story).
Back to the PCGS Population numbers; out of all the 10 designs ONLY 1 coin has obtained the MS69 grade; San Antonio Mission!
PCGS has graded 41 of all the ten designs together in MS68, 2077 in MS67, and 13,070 in MS66. Plus grades have been added to the overall totals for grades.
I started searching for the Privy marked coins on the 24th of June 2026 and have gone through too many boxes to count! Let's just say my ROI is HORRIBLE...
Found one Privy marked quarter in about MS64 or so...
Found 25 assorted "W" quarters from 2019 and 2020, some pretty ugly, and some that would grade MS63 maybe MS64!
Found 7 Ninety Percent quarters! Most likely either taken from mom or dad's coin collection or old family members passing on and the heirs taking them to the bank??
I believe the price will be a race to the bottom for a short period and drop below $100 per raw coin. I think that window is very close as I've seen Ebay sellers in the $140 to $150 range. Sure, there are sellers asking moon money out there, but are they selling or just bottom fishing?
The older "W" quarters are seldom encountered, but raw coins found at a recent show were in the $10 to $20. I bought some nice Weir Farm coins that are probably in the MS66 area for $10 each; a good deal.
After most of the hoopla passes and the market settles a bit, I believe raw coins will be in the $75 to $120 range... Really just a WAG!!
On grading these coins, after looking at thousands of the "P" and "D" Mint coins I believe very few if any will grade higher than MS67 or so. The Liberty Bell bottom opening appears to have a slight bit of relief, and prone to be a pickup point for nicks and abrasions as the coins were counted and rolled. Probably the only way to obtain a high-grade coin would be pulling one out of the bin prior to counting and rolling or extreme luck of the draw with an example somehow escaping the counting/Rolling machine damage!

That said, MS65's will most likely have slower demand due to so many in MS66?? I'd guess that 64's and below will almost align price-wise with raw coins at some point, and MS65's bringing a tad bit more... Granted, there will be a small percentage of raw that are horrible and shouldn't count.

If there were 250,000 end line users; collectors out there, instead of thousands of searchers/Speculators who have vacuumed these coins up when and if they found any, then I'd agree with $150 for PCGS MS65's. The reality to me is these coins are a really cool novelty, but once the warm, shiny object fades onto the next one who's left? Like the showcase pictured; that table holder was asking $1000 for NGC MS67's; DEALER PRICE! Seriously doubt he sold any unless he adjusted his prices downward? My guess, and that's really all it is; prices for MS65's will be around $100 plus or minus.
Remember, when the "W" quarters were issued in 2019 and 2020, very few dealers were interested in them. They had a small, but loyal following which remains to this day. At the next show, check around the bourse and you'll probably find very few dealers who carry any "W" coins in their inventory, and likewise I think the Privy Quarters will find the same small group of dealers/Collectors who covet these coins.

In my experience, PCGS commands a premium price over NGC and I believe NGC W quarter coins are graded 1 point higher meaning a NGC MS67 correlates to a PCGS MS66 W quarter and so on down the line.
I assume the same is happening with the July 4th privy quarters.
Current sold prices on Ebay reflect that he was a bit high on his NGC MS67 price. Most recent sales reflect $800 to $990 range.
The NGC MS66 Ebay sold prices are low to mid $400 range.
Doubt he sold any at his stated asking prices.
As expected, PCGS Ebay sold prices are about $100 higher for MS66 and way higher on MS67 but my guess is there are much fewer available due to slow PCGS turnaround times so pricing for these will come down as more become available for sale.

N 67s are everywhere, P 67s are scarce, so far.
