I get one every few years as a resource, and kind of nostalgia. Might have to snag one of these. I think 2024 might be my most recent.
They changed a lot last year 2026 and also made updates this 80th edition. I prefer the format much more now since 2026.

I impulsively bought one just to have the 80th edition. Probably won't buy a new one for years now.
Last Red Book I bought was in 2020. It was from the (Neil) Armstrong Family Collection.

Thanks for the info! I didn’t realize that since I only look at a new one every few years. Maybe I’ll put one on my Christmas list.
Had not plan to but now will. That one looks nice. Besides it is well past time for an updated redbook as my last one was
Don’t like the new format as I find it difficult to navigate, having to flip pages back and forth for information.
I have purchased annually since my first Red Book dated 1971 when I was 14. Back then, that was a great source of information and one of the only sources available to young collectors.
I previously had not planned to continue with the new issues, but 80th edition seems like a good ending point.
I'm still studying it but I kindda like the new edition. I like almost all the changes but modern pricing still offers a lot of opportunities.
I think the fact that it's improving is the most important characteristic. Every improvement requires intent and a great deal of work.
I got a 2026, I'll look for another in a few years

I picked one up at our local coin shop. This edition states it has 1000 additions since last year.
78, 79 Spiral, MEGA RED X & 80 Large Print
Wow...I didn't realize there was a LARGE PRINT edition! That'd be much easier on the eyes.
I have a type set of the different Red Books over the years.
I bought an occasional Red Book since 1980. #1 reason was handy mintage reference. 1980 was introduction of multi pages of error coverage. I think I own 3 80's due to that fact, all were bought 2nd hand. Have Mega 4 & 5 I bought new & A Professional Edition in large spiral. Never bought three years in a row, all new.
