Playing from “medal”, and continuing the WW2 aviation theme, I’ll repost my maternal grandfather’s silver dollar-sized WW2 deployment medal from 1942.
Most of these Champion medals were struck in bronze, but Granddaddy (Dr. Logan T. Robertson) was the son of Champion’s cofounder, and as such, I suppose that’s how he merited one in silver. I’ve never seen any others in silver but have handled eight in bronze, which were awarded to other Champion employees who went off to fight the War.
Granddaddy was a medical doctor and an officer in the Army Air Corps. He served mostly stateside, at MacDill air base in Tampa, FL., where my mother was born in 1944.

If the last coin posted was a World coin, you have to post a coin of the same date OR from the same country. Type or denomination do not matter in this case. If you post a non-US coin, though, be sure to type in the country, since the next player might not be familiar with it, and will need to know where to play from. Whatever you post must be a dated coin, though.
Undated medieval or ancient coins are not valid in this game.
(Much as I love ‘em, and as awesome as those hammered gold pieces definitely are.)

Also from the “used to be mine” category. Old small ANACS “soapbar” holder. I think it was undergraded by a few points. Not MS, but I could imagine it in a modern AU58 slab.
