With the "inStockDate" of Sept 2, I'm thinking the best way to get this is at the gift shop. Luckily for my wife (and bank account), we don't live anywhere near Philly. Guess I'm gonna pass on this one. :'(
Oh, well. On to the 1804...(and 1907 )
What do you mean about "instockdate" of Sept 2? The gold SLQ is still available for order on the Mint's website

Someone has probably addressed this on the forum, but I can't find it so let me ask: 250-year privy aside, is the 2016 Standing Liberty Quarter issued in 2026 the same coin as the 2016 Standing Liberty Quarter issued in 2016? Or does one somehow have a better, deeper strike than the other?
I can't speak to the strike, as I don't have the 2026 in hand. I'm not a fan of the privy mark on the BOM coins, but it wasn't as noticeable on the actual dime as in images I was seeing. That said, the 2016 had 'AU 24kt 1/4 oz' where the privy is, which I cared for even less.

Well, we might need some comparisons between the two to get an idea of depth of strike, which could be subjective , TBD.
I think it's pretty much the same planchet size & purity.
However (back to the strike), the 2016's were struck as a 'business strike' finish(I think), and these are noted to have an 'uncirculated' finish, FWIW.
Locally anything like these are already just cash based on buy price 1/4oz 24k and ounce 999 silver and a bit back of spot, of course.
No OGP is reduced $25 to $35 each.
No premiums for PCGS 70. Still less $25 to $35 for 70 and no OGP deduction.
Relatives get them as gifts & turn right around and get cold hard cash.

Yeah, the original in stock date for the first batch of sets was June 25th. It then changed to October 7th, then again to September 3rd. Once (if) they sell out of their current stock, backorders are due to be restocked on that date. For the most part this year, backorders have been shipping out earlier than their estimated restock dates. The only one I've had ship later than its initial restock date was an order of Rev War quarter rolls.
Also, check the "availabilityStatus" line just below "inStockDate". That will tell you if they're immediately available, in backorder, preorder (as was the case with the FIFA coins), or just plain not available.
Hand off to ups has not happened. Wish I had paid $3 more for next day instead of 2 day, which I thought I had. Was so happy to check out at 1201pm I did not recheck before hitting button.
Mint said it shipped same day I orderd.
Has anybody's 1916 25c actually moved from Texas ?
Our orders are not "backordered," but they are "instock on Septemer 3rd"
USMINT gave us ups tracking numbers but no handoff has occured to UPS.
Would it be crazy if we paid for these last week and they do not ship till September 3rd ???
Just a thought, and its a thought I had not considered.
If this does not ship and price drops I'll cancel and get my money back on credit card. If it does not ship soon I'll cancel anyway. Live to shop another day.
Gold is $4077 now, which if it holds below $4100 means these get a little price drop for new buyers too. We are are locked in. unless we cancel.
I wonder if they refund shipping fee if they do not ship ?
They'll ship. Unfortunately, this was a Friday release. The Morgans I had on subscription were released on Thursday, but didn't ship until the following business day.
Gold products won't get repriced until late Wednesday or Early Thursday. Gives you some time to contemplate this.
If you cancel your order, your shipping fees paid will get refunded as well.
if you wanted this graded with the card, you would have to leave the box sealed according to pcgs, so does that mean you have to submit the box blindly, hoping there is a signed COA?

No, no need to leave things sealed up imo.
It's not a numbered/serialized or a hand signed COA. It's just a 'business card'. You can still have the card slabbed if you want though.
I do not slab coins, so I have very limited idea what's up.

Seems like the ATS has been stagnant all week. Wouldn’t surprise me if it never sells out and they don’t mint the full 30,000.
???? Unknown what has already been made. Has anyone actually received a back order notice yet?
In any event, if the full 30K appeared on ATS, they are ready, willing and able to sell that many. If they don't, does it really matter to anyone whether they sit in inventory forever, ready to be sold, or are withdrawn and either not made, or melted?
More interesting to me is what they are going to do with mintages for the remaining 3 releases. Because, for whatever reason, these are clearly not as in demand as expected.

Fully agree with you on future mintages going forward. If they desire them sitting in inventory for ages, they will stay at 30,000 for the duration of the series. Up to this point, I feel as if they misjudged demand, and it’s time to make some recalculations on their end. As a collector of this set, I’m pleased thus far with what I’ve been able to purchase with ease.
I’ve not seen any reports of back orders on this one, but I’ve been away for a few days and haven’t been keeping up as I usually do.
