I live in Southern California and went to the beach over the weekend. I saw at least 100 girls that are better looking. Don't get me wrong she's a nice looking lady -between a 5 and 6 - but she's nowhere near smoking hot and that's not just my opinion. I took a poll at work during lunch and she came in at a 5.5. 14 men gave their opinion.

I think this comes down to where people live. I lived in Missouri in 2006 for about 6 months - work related - and the women who the guys thought were smoking hot were nothing compared to what I would see in Southern California.

When I was single in my early 20's I dated much better looking woman than her and I was a nobody with very little money.

I agree she isn’t a knockout but she is incredibly fit, like 1 in a thousand level of fitness. Yes there are much prettier girls and most look better in clothes.

Related, I’d love to run a poll on the boys wives if thats a 5.5. Imagine the average would be low 3s.

Well of course most of the wives would be in the 3's. Most are in the 40's and women in general don't age well. This is why most men regardless of when they lived or where they live prefer younger women. That's their prime years for beauty.

Tell me where I'm wrong if you disagree. Do you think most men think women are better looking and more desirable in their 30's and 40's? My comments are pretty much fact but if you have data that says I'm wrong I would love to see it.

Nothing better than a thread with a Yankees70 take on women. SMFH.

Once again if you think I'm wrong I would love to see any data that proves my comments wrong.

Behavioral data from platforms like OkCupid and general relationship research reveals that heterosexual men—regardless of their own age—most consistently find women in their early to mid-20s (ages 20 to 24) the most attractive.

Here is the breakdown of the trends and the 'why' behind them:

The Constant Preference: Extensive dating app metrics (such as those analyzed by OkCupid) show that as men age, their preferred range for a female partner stays anchored primarily in the early 20s. A small fraction of men—usually older—slightly adjust their preference upward, but the peak generally stays within this demographic.

Evolutionary and Cultural Context: Researchers generally link this to evolutionary psychology, which suggests that men's attraction is unconsciously geared toward peak fertility and health, traits prominently associated with youth.

You made a comment and I asked you why I'm wrong. So go ahead give me the data that proves I'm wrong or fold your hand. Seriously dude you do this a lot. Its extremely weak. You made a statement about me so back it up - that's all I'm saying.

I then asked your for data that proves me wrong. Dude you started this not me. So for the last time how am I wrong?

Not interested in your data or assigning numbers to women. I think it’s disgusting. I have been to dozens of beaches many times and I must admit that the views are always spectacular. People there from all walks of life. All beautiful.

What men who use OkCupid prefer isn't something I'm very familiar with. basements, doritos I would have thought well before women in their 20s. OkCupid saying what their users like isn't a general data-set... more so people who use OkCupid.

here's an example of what I mean so I don't need to use many words.

"Behavioral data from Taco Bell suggests that people who eat there love explosive diarrhea." Prove me wrong! too soon?

OK. That was easier than I thought.

"regardless of his own age" trances to Christian Rudder's Dataclysm (2014) which is built on OkCupid rating data. Men from 20 to 50 all rated 20-21 year old women highest. what is this data though is less interesting. self-selected online dater ratings on an app vs. a peer-reviewed study is not a representative sample and would not pass peer review or scientific scrutiny. not any more than my taco bell example at least.

The data actually disagrees with the "it's a fact" assertion in two ways.

first, Rudder's own dataset: while men rate 20 year olds highest, they message women much closer to their own range. So even in OkCupid's data-set the preference cited does not match actual behavior - implementation of said preference.

second, and this is the one that slams the door shut on your cognition...

There is actually a peer-reviewed gold standard and that states that the opposite of "regardless of age" is the truth. Kendrick & Keefe (1992), Behavioral and Brain Sciences 15:75-133 - this is the most cited work on this, and uses actual marriage records across many cultures and eras... as opposed to app clicks like you cite as fact beyond challenge...

    The Finding you ask?

Young men prefer women around their own age with teen boys skewing even older. The preference for younger women emerges and widens as men age, but the lower bound is NOT pinned at the 20-24 age range cited. Rather, it rises with the man's age and this directly contradicts the "men of every age" claim you cite as fact. Data shows otherwise. Data as requested. Study is available for review.

Rudder, Dataclysm (2014, OkCupid data) · Kenrick & Keefe (1992), Behavioral and Brain Sciences 15:75–133, "Age preferences in mates reflect sex differences in human reproductive strategies."

    Thanks for playing.

I dont know, I think she is pretty hot. but, she is my type. I like more athletic girls as opposed to curvy ones.

assigning numbers is a fools errand when it comes to beauty. it is purely in the eye of the beholder. i think that most guys when asked to assign a number in "public" will give an artificially low one as they dont want others to think they may have lower standards than others.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

while there are some women who stay beautiful into their 30s and even 40s, it is much more rare than men staying attractive at older ages. not sure why. women tend to age like milk

I must be aging gracefully. The standards set by my predecessors were too difficult to attain, so I've stayed married to the same gorgeous creature she was 38 years ago when we tied the knot. I consider myself no less than complex and quite often tough to love. She must really, really dig me.

Goodness gracious. 5.5 is a little harsh. Probably a 7 before the standards changed. Good color, smooth surface, sharp edges, nice centering (not too top heavy). Has eye appeal and maybe a candidate for a sticker review.
