Question on the waiting room. I logged in was put in the waiting room eventually got into the Mint site went to the page for the uncirculated set. Waited for the button to turn from remind me to purchase. It never did at 12:02 I hit the refresh and went back to the waiting room. I assumed the remind me button would turn to add to bag at 12:00. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.
On the 30th, or yesterday or today? If today, what you did wrong was be a day or two late. They are now gone, and what reappears generally does so at 7:30 a.m., not noon. If the 30th, you would not have been released from the waiting room once in it before noon, so it didn't happen.
If you are released before noon you will get thrown back in at noon. So, as he presented it, it could have happened. It happened to me on the BOM release.
Oh. I thought they put a hold on it on release day, in order to randomize who gets in from the first batch. The one time I experienced it, when I was on the website before they employed the waiting room, I was thrown off the website entirely, and when I tried to log back in, I was in the waiting room until after noon.
Sometimes. As I keep saying, the waiting room is broken. I've bypassed it completely, been thrown into it at noon, and even been in before noon but then got in and stayed in.
Okay. Again, anything is possible. So there are no definitive answers to any questions, because anything can and does happen at any time. So maybe CU should just shut down the forum, since there is nothing to know or share.
I described how the website works when the waiting room is working as intended. Which sound like exactly what happened in this case. Not in your case, where other things happened.
YOU are the one who told him that what he saw couldn't have happened. I simply pointed out that multiple things happen.
I WAS ESSENTIALLY AGREEING WITH YOU. (I should know better.)

So if I can get to the mint page that shows the coin I want before the noon release time and the button still says remind me, and it goes past noon, how do I get the button to say add to bag. From my experiences if I refresh I get tossed back into the wait room. Should I login at 11:30, get into the Mint main homepage and wait until after 12:00 before I try to go to the page where I can purchase the coin? Or wait until noon and log in then. Thx. Sorry to cause any trouble.

No trouble. What @jmlanzaf described is an aberration. What you experienced is what is supposed to happen.
You get the button to light up by not hitting the website until the item goes on sale. If there is no waiting room, congratulations! You refresh the page at noon and go buy your coin.
Otherwise, you hit the website a little before noon, enter the waiting room, and wait your turn, with your position randomized at noon when sales begin. Or, you go in any time thereafter, or lose your patience and refresh once you have been assigned a position, and you go straight to the end of the line.
Anything else that happens is a random glitch, so don't assume anyone's random experience will apply to you.

You can not clear the waiting room before noon. You are supposed to get tossed back into the waiting room. Just refresh at noon or a minute before. If you get lucky and don't get tossed into the room, fine. But you sell likely get thrown into the waiting room because you are supposed to.
There's no point in having a waiting room if u can log in 3 hours early and avoid the waiting room.

This is a cool set. I just opened mine. But, I can't get over how insanely overpriced it is.
Or too cheap...
Nope. They should have sold as many as people were willing to buy, and sold them for $35 each. They are the annual set of circulating coinage.
Not Liberty Bells, or special BOM sets. Turning every effing thing into an expensive limited edition collectible is going to inevitably accelerate the ultimate decline of the hobby, leaving no truly affordable entry point for anyone.

That is, of course, a completely different point, unrelated to my joke. But thank you for looking for an argument. I regret to inform you that I'm too busy to engage in one.

Sorry. I didn't get the joke. I thought you were being serious about $124.50 being too cheap due to the secondary market action.
Not looking for an argument. Just repeating my oft stated point about how they are pricing and selling these and the base metal proof set.
Because there is nothing to argue about. They are doing what they are doing, and it is what it is. Great for flippers, sucks for collectors. No reason everyone in America shouldn't be able to own cents if they want them, the Mint is making them, and can sell them without losing money.
My sub arrived. The evening of the 30th, about midnight-12:30am (et), I perused to check my sub order, and as I pretty much expected, showed 'processing'. I noticed the sets didn't say 'remind me' or anything else, so I clicked on it, and it was ready to have an order placed,,,,it showed '2' in the order # column, so I just kept it there, at 2 sets. It allowed me to place the order and accepted it. Showed 'processing' until last Friday, then went to 'backorder'. I was certain the order wouldn't go through, CERTAIN,,,,,,,,so I just let it be and didn't check until about 45 mins ago......the order was shipped today.
I had a few in my cart but didn’t pull the trigger. If someone has some they don’t think are worth grading and want to get rid of them I wouldn’t mind picking up two of them for my kids. Of course I haven’t checked the resell so not sure what the current market is for them.
Got my 4 sets today. I can't say I got any 69s like the previous poster. But they are all solid MS65-67s with most being 65 or 66. After a quick look, I think 3 out of 4 of the P Half dollars had severe abrasions on the arm holding the torch. Having sent in coins from rolls all year long, I can say that the overall qualify of the coins is much higher than the rolls & bags as you would expect. The pop reports show mostly low grades but that will be changing as I have a feeling that PCGS MS68s will be fairly achievable.

Looks like about $185 per set on average on ebay at the present time.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Nice! Any idea how many they had? Didn’t really think to check this morning since I thought the Mint being closed yesterday would mean no return to inventory for anything today on the 4th

Indeed. Time will tell appreciation wise. I just meant for base metal coins.

Former that there's no way to open it without destroying the box.

Didn't check the ATS, but they weren't up long, less than 30 seconds.
I think it was 141
