I am looking for suggestions. My HP OfficeJet Pro used to make very good scans of my PSA graded cards, but now all I get is blurriness. I am also interested in finding out if any scanners out there can do a good job with scanning the backs of the PSA slabs from recent years, since they do not lie flat on the screen.

    EPSON PERFRECTION V600 Photo
    Beautiful Fronts - but can't speak to the backs since I don't scan backs for my PC.
    Its the same model the FORUM Member recommends...

    Since you will use for scanning slabs; Ensure its a CCD Scanner! Avoid CIS or slab scans will be blurry. CCD also works fine for scanning Comic Book Slabs

    I bought a used EPSON V550 at Adorama for less than $120. It is the best scanner I have ever used.

    The only issue is that the V600 is discontinued. That said, I think I am going to go for it. Thanks for the feedback everybody!

    If you got a $300 budget = epson sells and warranties refurbished Epson v600 versions. But dont waste ghe $$ unless your also doing film

    My epson v300 still runs strong. If you are on a cheaper budget = cannot beat its replacement the Epson V39 II

    Frankly most people just want documents and cards scanned. This is the one to use

    Otherwise - can get a lit up shadow box for $35 from Amazon and use a phone
