So I pulled this out of a Proof set with messed up plastic. I noticed these lines on the obverse and reverse.
Is this the result of this coin being struck through some type of reeding scrap? I dont see how this would happen any other way?
Anyone have any input?

It DOES appear to be mint made "damage" so is it an error? Hmmm. Good question. I vote "yes"- a minor error.

i wonder if that somehow happened on the press with a weird strike like that, i dunno

I more meant scratched up not really a packaging problem.

This is clearly post-strike damage. Probably caused by the packaging equipment at the Mint.
that rim has been squeezed enough to cause damage. you'll notice it's one thickness up until it gets to the damage and then it takes a step down
