When I look at the prices that coins sold for in past auctions, the Heritage Auction website shows the "realized" price for each coin. Is this the full price that the buyer paid, including the buyer's premium?

Yes, the posted prices include the buyer’s premium.
When I view the results on the Heritage site, I see “Includes Buyer's Premium (BP)” just beneath the price.
Heres’s a recent example : https://coins.ha.com/itm/morgan-dollars/1881-s-1-ms67-pcgs-gold-cac-housed-in-a-generation-31-green-label-holder-gold-cac-1-in-67-0-finer-3-26-mintage-12-760-000/a/60545-51440.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515

Heritage also notes when an item with bid protection did not sell.
Is a "posted" price the same thing as a "realized" price? Just to be clear, here is what I see:
Yes, as the prices realized are “posted”.

Bid on a few dozen things and win, you will get used to how they work. And don't forget shipping. The only funny thing is winning a lot in the first session of one that lasts a while and waiting to pay your invoice. I guess that gives you time to gather the coins from your couch cushions to cover it.
I don't think that those prices include the premium to use a CC, so best to just link them to your bank account ahead of time for e-check and then they ship right away.
