yes, Killer was one of the greatest "long" home run hitters. i never realized he was not a big huge guy. he must have generated a ton of bat speed! wish i could have seen him take BP live!

He's listed as 5'11" on some of his cards, but I think he was a little shorter than that. Big Frank was listed at 6'7".

I met his son Ken when I delivered uniforms and rugs to where he worked. Didn't look too different from his dad. Wide shoulders and a decent looking physique, but not imposing. Certainly not very tall.
One day I saw him get excited about something and he made a fist and kind of "pumped" his arm and his forearm tripled in size!

it is interesting seeing some of these guys in person. I never saw killer in person, but I have been fortunate enough to speak to a number of MLB HOFers.
I was really surprised when i was next to both willie mays and later reggie jackson. they were both a fair amount shorter than me. My minds eye always told me these guys were huge men, but in reality they were both probably about 5'10" or so.I do remember of Willie having big hands. much bigger than his height would have suggested.
