Judging from the pics, I'd say low odds... the shoulder looks a bit light on the obverse. Looks like a nice coin though...I love the pre-zinc proof Lincolns.

Agreed, but those are very low res pictures, the obverse is around 350x350 px.

In the pictures, no. But those are horrible pictures

I will likely receive the proof set this cent is located in next week. Keeping my fingers crossed that the cent will show fully frosted devices and deeply mirrored fields (making it a candidate for submission to our host).

The hunt continues for raw Cameo 1952, 1954, 1955 and 1958 cents. :)

    Perhaps.
    Decent chance.

I would absolutely defer to your judgment, as you are an expert in this field.
Chances are, if you took a shot based on what you saw, there’s a pretty good likelihood it’s there, or very close.

No due to the shoulder and bottom portions of Lincoln. But...hard to tell with that quality of picture.

    Update.

The proof set containing the 1952 cent arrived today. The cent is gorgeous and IMO warrants a Cameo designation.

I will take photos of the cent later today and post them.

As added bonus is the fact that all 5 coins are pristine (PF66 and better), plus the quarter is a Superbird variety.

Cell phone photos attached. Some light haze is present that is a negative.

These are tough to find with nice contrast. Because very little polishing was done in those years, heavily contrasted examples are very hard to come by.

Be sure to check for re-engraved tailfeathers on that Superbird!

I dunno Kevin. Has an even shot at PCGS - better odds at NGC in my experience. Should be interesting as '52 is a really tough year for all cameos.

    Looking good!

Please share your method & product in removing the haze on that Cent?

    I have a '53 Proof set that I would like to treat/dip.

    Thanks

From those pictures, I'd say you have a good shot at it. Good luck!

Possibly. Going from the images, the obverse might keep it from cameo. The reverse I'd call it so.

Sorry to see that, but I think it would still sell for a premium, especially with that reverse contrast.
