Me too, I only own a handful of Lincoln cents, but I love books like this and it does make me want to buy some 1922 Lincolns…

I bought a 1922 Plain with the strong reverse about three weeks ago.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?3 -
It is really a lot more than "just" a book about the 1922 cent, it really is like opening a time capsule of that was happening at the US Mint during the early 1920s, which I found fascinating. There are real reasons behind a lot of the things that happened at the time and why some things were minted and other weren't. And it really is just a matter of chance that we had any 1922 cents at all.

Interesting number. I got most of box number 1 (Nos. 1-10) but I have no idea in what order they were distributed.
Who did you order from? If Whitman, I hope they started from box #25 (Nos. 241-250) and worked their way backwards, which might mean that they are almost near a sellout, but of course a distributor would be shipping from a box or two ordered in December.
Should be getting a royalty check for 2026 Q1 in about ten days. If I have two or three good quarters I might recoup the money I spent on professional photography!

It feels like owning this book takes me back after 911 and members here purchased the PCGS flag insert 2001 New York quarters.
I purchased this book to support an esteemed board member and after reading some of it I've got to tell you, this book stands alone as one of the most thought-out and detailed writings I've come upon.

The ANA agreed to stock some of my books for the Summer Seminar students to buy, so I went down there yesterday to autograph them.
Curiously two of the hardcovers had low serial numbers, while the other one was up in the 200's somewhere.

It is worth the price easily for the great slice of mint history of the period that becomes clear as you read. The book goes well beyond just the 1922 cent. There were a lot of things happening and Tom puts them all into perspective and relation to one another. Great read that I recommend to every collector.
