Did an eBay Morgan CC Search Today

So I have been seeing a lot of counterfeit Morgan coins lately being listed on eBay.
I reported most of them and some were removed and others were found by AI to meet eBay requirements.
So I did a random search and the first 7 listings were all counterfeit.
3 of the new listings were ones that had been previously removed by the Bay.
They had new sellers but the pictures were all the originals that were removed.
Here is my generic search
pcgs us coins morgan cc
Have some fun and give it a whirl.

A never ending scam by scumbags.
Shameful.
What happens when the buyer finds out that their great buy, is fake and they open up a NASID with ebay?
Time will tell who loses their money.

Every time I report a counterfeit, eBay claims it meets their standards. I have stopped reporting them.
I know the feeling especially when it gets relisted by another seller with the exact photos of another seller.
They need a human who can understand and decipher why the listing is so wrong.

It feels like it's getting a lot worse. I used to report them as much as I could but it became a losing cause.
I had heard that eBay was going to or is getting a real live human to review reported counterfeit postings.
If they don't, we will see many more other coins hitting the auctions blocks in different denominations with only one thing in common, FAKE!
This magnitude of fakes has me asking what does my gut say.
Any grumblings and I just pass the listing by.
I am getting myself more educated on the holders now and I look at the seller's feedback and how long that they have been on eBay.
New seller, low feedback, sorry I am not interested.
Same coin picture display but a different seller, high end coin at a very low buy it now, no it is definitely counterfeit.
If the seller blocks the cert#, I don't even bother to look.

I've reported blatantly fake coins and the listings never get removed.
It will never be stopped, even if the Feds got involved. There are a lot of terrible people in this world.
With all the bad publicity ebay is getting they had better listen up....
Feebay does not care one bit.
numismatics is only a very smal part of theit billion things.
Some buyers could take months or years before figuring out they are fake ... it could even be their estate that discovers it.
I honestly would have been shocked if you had not found loads of counterfeits and maybe 1 or 2 genuine coins at best.
Funny thing is that EBay claims to use AI, but if they scanned all the coins with any mediocre AI system they would easily identify ALL of the counterfeits and probably some legitimate coins that could then provide enough proof to list the legitimate coins.
The sad part is like a 2 edged sword.
1) is that the seller(s) know that the coins are fake but rely on
2) the buyers greed in thinking that they are going to buy a several thousand dollar coin for under a $100.00 bucks.
The real losers are the novice collectors who just want a CARSON CITY coin for their collection but end up with great
disapointment when they learn of its fake authenticity.

eBay is where all of that crap that used to plague the hobby before third party grading went. Apart from downright fakes, there are altered coins (added/removed mint marks, ...) and so many problem raw coins with juiced imaging.
"The way of the transgressor is hard". I don't think the counterfeit sellers get very far. They are opening themselves up to public scrutiny and they survive about as long as a large chunk of ice in late spring.
