I think the coin might be cleaned
I'm going to guess that it's improperly attributed.

It’s a half dime attributed as a dime.
It says “Cleaned” on the grading label. So how would your thinking the coin might be cleaned indicate what might be wrong with the picture?

The recognized die marriages for dimes are attributed with JR, not LM.

Several folks noted the "die rotation" but I think it might just be someone behind the wheel of Photoshop doing a bit of "pixel rotation" instead. They'd have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!

Good catch!! I have not seen a 180 degree rotated capped bust half dime yet. Wish this was the first!

Me too, Chase. I honestly believe that the purveyor thought they were doing a courtesy, putting the "NGC" and the coin facing up. But an error hunter might have gotten pretty interested in this coin's image (and may not have noticed the flip-flop at first).
