June pickups - Show us what you got!
I will start June with this 1975 OPC Pete Rose that just arrived in the mail yesterday. Pretty excited about this one as 1975 (Topps) was the first set I ever completed so the design holds a place in my heart. I always liked the Rose card from '75.

Picked these up at a LCS this past weekend. May grade them.
I've been collecting Hall of Fame rookies for years, but somehow this one flew under my radar. Lee Smith isn't a higher-tier Hall of Famer, so it wasn't something I ever researched. Once I learned about this error, and I won it for $200, I was stoked.
His Topps rookie sells for around $75 in a PSA 9 and roughly $2,000 in a PSA 10. This Fleer error has a lower pop count, and I love the fact that it's an early 80s error. It may never have the demand of the Topps, but a 10 is a 10. Definitely happy with this pickup.
Started this set in 2004 - due to immense procrastination, I finally picked up the last card but not doing the checklist.
I'd like to do a writeup on the set but how much interest?
I've chased this game around the block a few times - this one is not in good shape but it rarely comes up on ebay or AH's. One for my original main focus.
Electric Baseball Game - c1930 - Jim Pentice - Parker Brothers
In 1930, while still in high school, Jim Prentice patented his first electric baseball game and later partnered with Parker Brothers to bring it to market. The game marked the beginning of a career that would make Prentice one of the pioneers of electric sports gaming. His innovations helped establish an entirely new category of baseball-themed tabletop entertainment.
Oh, man - that '63F Koufax is killer!
Nice pick up.
I used to have several of these 10s that I pulled from a case I ripped during the Covid shutdown. I graded 10 or so and ended up with 2 or 3 10s. Maybe this is one of them because I sold them all last year!
I love this photo of Smith and prefer it to the Topps by 1000%.
Thanx Daniel - centering is a challenge for the Koufax. I've to about 8 or 9 that need upgrades due to centering.
I LOVE 75 OPCs. the colors absolutely pop. that is a great rose you have there!!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Mike,
Nice pickup on the Koufax. I would like to hear the history and story of ‘63 Fleer baseball set!
One hundred and SIX SEVEN cards left to go in the set. Sorry couldn't pass up a Six Seven chance.

Thanx Monte - will be putting it together buddy.
Despite the o/c the colors are so bold you almost forget about the o/c. Least I do.
California Ripken...
^^^ WHOA!!!! CONGRATS PopSmoke!!!!
Mike I think a write up would be great, I don't own a single card from that set but I do have an appreciation for anyone writing up on a set they are into and completed.
Either way congrats on completion, those are great looking cards!
Thanx Paul - I'm motivated to write it up!
One more upgrade for the basic set. Only pop 1 higher.

Since vintage is my go to, this card is my very rare "modern" card submitted for grading. My pre grade guess was a 7, so not bad.
