Should I get graded? 1952 Topps stars

Just bought a low grade collection including these three 1952 Topps stars: Willie Mays, Jackie Robinson,
Eddie Mathews.
I will sell (eventually) and would like to know if I should spend the $149.99 per card plus shipping both ways with PSA. Would it be money well spent? Or just consign?

Need to authenticate that the cards are not fakes and not altered.

Other ‘52 stars could be worth grading , too from this iconic set.
Send them to GMC. They get ridiculous prices on low grade vintage. Every Friday night. Give them a holler. I'm certain they would love to sell your cards for you. No waiting for PSA. Just my opinion. Good luck with your nuggets.
Good idea, I forgot about Greg Morris and raw cards.
As a matter of fact, there is a 52T Mantle, and many other low grade vintage stars. These were sold to me by the family of a dear friend who died in January.
I'm just wondering whether getting them graded (most will grade 1 or 1.5) will pay off, or whether I should just consign to GMC.

For the group above it might be more prudent to get them holdered and assigned a grade. At the submission level you would need, I assume the wait would be less
agonizing. These are some iconic cards you got. The first group appears more damaged, but that Mantle should DEFINITELY get its arse in a holder. WOW.
SGC can do it for $85 and there's a possibility that the cards will only be 74 years old when you get them back!

If not in a time pinch? I'd want them graded/authenticated by PSA.

My opinion is I'd send them to PSA
Get them graded which will result in mostly authentic or 1's
You have thousands of dollars worth of value there, speaking for myself ( Not a heavy hitter ) there is zero chance I'd get into bidding on any of those cards on ebay unless they were authenticated

Four rounded corners on an old card always raises red flags for me.
I think the centering on the cards (or lack thereof) speaks to the cards legitimacy. I’d be more nervous about sharp corners on vintage cards than rounded ones. Since they came as a group, I look at it like they were probably all ‘played with’ the same way by the same person.

the white borders on that Mantle look too bright/white to me. if authentic, i would bet that one was cleaned.

Get them graded . If you send them off to anyone else to sale they are no longer your cards and you will have no control over their worth and future value . Get them graded . They will only go up in value .
Not to be critical of the images, but in this instance there really is no substitute for seeing these in hand first before committing to sending them off for grading. And while at first blush that might make the most sense, will grading the first three cards produce the greatest net return?
The decision on the other 5 seems easier mainly for authentication as well as whether they straight grade.
