I appreciate how enthusiastic the buyers of this buffalo are! I’ve had a long love affair that started with the fractions, and I am content with my current herd.
I will admit this release is doing far better than I imagined it would especially with that spot price to issue price spread. Even slabbed ones are selling another thousand and even more above the mints issue price on eBay with actual sales, wild. Patiently waiting for mine to arrive as well, looks great from the images @mbr33

Thank you! I'll admit here in the forum that I spent way more time than I should have studying the details of the coin this past weekend. If I keep opening the damned box that it comes in, I'm gonna wear it out! LOL!

I wonder if the remaining 3089 will sell out at the new price of $5490 before the next price adjustment.
They've moved 300 this week so far, so I'm thinking this one will stay around for months before it eventually does sell out. I think current orders are still being taken on a backorder basis.

ATS now 969. The price drop moved over 2100 fairly quickly.

i'm pleasantly surprised by that. You're right! 959 now. Could be sold out by next week which surprises me. Hope they don't decide to Mint more of them.
Anybody know where the ATS is heading into the Memorial Day weekend? Just wondering when it’ll sell out so we can see if the Mint will add more like they’ve been doing on several products this year.

They won't be adding more of these. The limit is 15K, they sold over 11K as of their last sales report, and they are currently taking back orders. When they go Unavailable, they will be unavailable, unless credit card payments fail or people return them.

They had sold 11,000 and had about 3500 ATS. Something happened to over 2000 of them in the wee hours of Friday morning, as they dropped to around 950 and since into the 800s. They were close to the 15,000 with all that, so I’m with you that theyll not mint more. There’s too much else going on to bother with something that won’t move all that fast even if they did reconsider the 15K

For the record, while they do lots of screwing around with changing mintages at the last minute, and with not minting up to the limit in spite of overwhelming demand, it has been forever since they violated a mintage limit or raised it after release. That was never going to happen.
The ONLY chance for them to release more would be if the 15K was not hit. In this case, it clearly will be, so there will not be any more.

ATS 712 now. If gold prices stay near where they are now, the price of these will drop once again later this week. If that happens, I'm sure they'll be sold out by next weekend.
That’s also good timing for the price of the EU gold American Eagle due Thursday.
I really thought the gold Buffalo would stay around for a few more months, but the timing of the drop in gold prices has worked in the favor of the Mint selling out much quicker.

Good luck tomorrow to those looking to buy a 2026 gold Buffalo!
I’m in for one. Not for investment purposes…. I just love the coin and can’t wait to see it in person.
Yes Proofs are pretty .. Bought one since 2006 start
That’s quite a collection! I was hoping to see some sort of 20th anniversay acknowledgment this year, like a set or fractionals, but what they’ve done with the 250th celebration rendition of the coin is admirable. Love the thing!

I've done the same - at least one. I bought many of the fractionals. I sold all of the 69s years ago - what a bad move!
I still have one 4 coin proof and one 4 coin unc set sealed to this day FS eligible. I have graded 70s of every single proof and unc and the RP since 06. I wish that there was more of a numismatic premium, not just gold appreciation. They are nice looking but when gold was over $5K I was tempted to sell them all as there is minimal numismatic premium on almost all of them.

3380 as of 5:30 pm EST. The Mint sold 120 today during my workday.

Mine showed up yesterday, absolutely stunning in hand.
Only complaint is that it was ‘signed’ for by someone with my initials, yet the box was tucked in my mailbox. 😞
Same thing for me. I signed for it while I was 20 miles away. My mailbox was where I found it.

They just threw mine w another package at the doorstep w no signature at all.

ATS is currently 829
Thank you. Getting closer!
It is an awesome looking coin
No doubt about that! Probably the finest offering in the series to date, not counting the fractional year which I keep praying to see a return to.
