GRADE POSTED - 1931-S cent, just back from ANACS

I was a little ecstatic to see that ANACS graded the coin exactly the same as I did, having purchased it non-certified over a year ago at the Greater Jacksonville Coin Club Show. My one complaint is that the gloopy ANACS slab insert globs over the edge in some areas.

Based on the pictures, I would grade it 58BN, but I will guess that ANACS graded it 62BN

62 BN seems most probable but the fields look fairly clean so I will not rule out 63

Would grade PCGS AU-55 but ANACS MS-62BN.

4rb but I'd call it a 4bn based on the pics... I'm assuming there's more luster that we're not seeing. If not, 63bn feels right.
This coin will never grade AU and I'd challenge every user here that has given an AU grade to explain it.
"It's like God, Family, Country, except Sticker, Plastic, Coin."
Based on the mages, I’m in the AU+ camp.
My first impression was MS62 and I'm sticking with it.
It's the poor quality photo that is throwing everyone off. In this photo the coin looks like a washed out lusterless dog, both wheat stalks are soft and look like wear as does the central cheek/jawline area. Additionally, the photo depicts wear from the collar to the shoulder and some staining around the shoulder area and under trust.
The problem is not the guesses, but rather the photo. I can read enough from the photo to know that the coin is not AU, but I would not try to guess a grade from the photo.

53 for me too, as I see some wear.
I'll go 61BN
ANACS SAYS: MS-62 BN
This is exactly what I graded it, despite about 10% of mint red still visible. The coin is not as well struck as the majority of 1931-S cents that I have seen.
