Interesting coin. Nice OGH but I don't really dig the color.

If it has good luster you could send to cac for the homerun.

I will be taking it the PAN show the end of May

Ugly. I hope it was cheap.

What type of “homerun” are you talking about? I don’t see any type of “homerun” potential in a submission to CAC.

I've been shocked from time to time with cac. I had some spotted gold $20 gold that got the stickers. You never know.

    Looking for 108, not 801 :p

Either you shook that rattler between pics, or that's a rotated die.

The toning is not really very nice but on the other hand it may be an original coin. 1921 Morgan's typically do not develop nice toning.

I never want to disappoint anyone with an opinion about their coins as I have had coins I thought were ok, just to have gotten a reality check when presented to this forum. @PTVETTER, if you like what you purchased, than that’s all that matters. Own it and be happy with your purchase.

It’s almost an antique. The holder, that is.

People seem to think that anything in a rattler deserves a premium. I for one do not subscribe to that belief. This would not be a coin for me.

I think there is good luster hiding under that "toning".
From the photo, though, I would pass as it doesn't look like one I would want.

Hopefully you find the right buyer who does like it

The price would determine whether it's a yea or nay for me.

Agree with the other comments; but the OP is pretty savvy, so I’m assuming there’s something special about the coin that I’m missing….

Unlike a lot of the people here, I kinda like the toning, it looks like it'd be better in-hand. Nice acquisition though!

I wouldn’t make such an assumption, no matter who the buyer was. We have no idea whether the coin was bought cheaply or at a premium.

I don’t know either, but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt, and I’m expressing my opinion that he probably knew what he was doing.

The point I was trying to make is that I wouldn’t assume that there’s something special about the coin that you’re missing. Sure, that could be the case, but he might have just as easily bought the coin as an ordinary example that was priced right.
